Rb29 Wow!

Yes Cerbera zeds don't rev quite as high although mine revs to 8500 compared to a built GTR prob 9500, peak power that day with mine that day and more revs was 438rwkw, although with stock rods and they bent. Cheap motor with mostly OEM stock parts apart from pistons, since used Scat rods and all good.

Can we please be put out of our misery!! What's in it!!

All i can figure is that it might have a higher compression ratio than most people might think, and high lift but not too crazy duration on the camshaft, mixed together with some careful cam timing; for a nice recipe..... High comp gives good off boost power and would build response more rapidly...

I'm out of ideas, please tell us the answer, we wants to know......

Bens been perfecting this recipe for years.... I doubt he will just "kiss and tell"... I know I wouldnt (but DAMN I wish I knew).

Go Race Pace.

No I've never been in a GTR that tries to turn the tyres (all 4) at 3000rpm (Pirelli PZERO Corsas)..

P Zero Corsas have to be one of the worst tyres i've ever tried. Get some R comps on and you will feel the difference.. lol

Not sure what your smokin dude but they are a R comp tyre, they're not quite up to the standard of RE55S but they are much better than any street tyre out there...

So tell us about your 'experiences' with tyres, which have you tried and which would you recommend???

The saying goes "If you have to ask the price..."

I'm coming into a bit of money later this year. I just want to know how much I need to set aside. I bet it's approaching $20k

+ the rest probably. With all other parts needed for the build...

I meant 20k for the engine. I bet the rest is almost 20k too.

this is running a big single on a rb30 block gtr head.

close, except the rb29 is 447KW (612HP) and it's running on pump gas, not race gas

Double it and you might be getting close to the total figure needed to get these results..

But I still doubt it will be enough... :P

If I were guessing - I would say 20k for the bottom end alone. 50k should do it for a whole engine / turbos etc ..... (providing the rest of your drivetrain is up for it). But I am just guessing....

    • Sorry to sound thick....but what does the "faceplate" have to do with adjusting the odometer? Surely the odo stays put and you change the fascia. Surely they are not the same thing.
    • I know its been 13 years since this topic, but it came up when i was searching to fix my problem so thought i would add my 2cents in and how i fixed my issue.  my r33 had air coming out off all the vents except the center one. i went straight down the rabbit hole expecting it to be a mechanical issue, pulled the dash apart tracing lines, checking linkages etc. it turned out the very fine fly screen mesh behind the center vent was actually VERY blocked so when i had the air on face the air would take the path of least resistance and come out the 2 side vents but allow nothing out the center vent. a quick clean fixed the issue. once the mesh is clean you can see the air direction flaps moving inside through the mesh.
    • Glad that worked out for you. I think my Joyeauto one is coming this week but I won't get to install it til closer to end of October. Will update when I get around to it. Just standard CP and nothing else. Hopefully the cameras all work without needing to get out of CP and get back in as they advertised. My other worry is sound quality. Fingers crossed!
    • Yeah, it is possible. But like many related things (ie, alternators), it's getting harder to find anyone who does and will, given the change to just throwing shit away and replacing with new cheap shit from Chinese factories. If you want to pursue the option of rebuilding, you'll have to dig up an auto A/C specialist or three to find out whether they still do.
