Im sorry guys, i searched heaps but haven't found answers for all of my questions...So here goes:

Series 2 r33, im pretty sure R33 GTR REAR guards can be put on there without too much trouble ?

Now the front...how hard would it be to put on 33 GTR FRONT guards (or make a fiberglass copy of) and modify it to suit the series 2 bonnet/lights ? I know some1 will straight away say just get after market vented fenders its much easier...maybe so, but i dont really like the vented look and they somehow none dont look nearly as fat (especially around the front lights) as the GTR guards...

And the thirda qustion...how much am i looking at for the whole conversion ? Or rear guards alone at least ?

Thanks in advance !

I havent seen after market gtr frount guards to fit a gts-t apart from the wider vented guards. Im sure gtr frount guards will need a bonnet and frount bar to fit and gts-t lights will fit with no probs. Iv seen fiber glass gtr rear guards for the gts-t im sure they were around the $500 mark but cant think of the place i saw them.

hey thanks mate

if you stumble across where u seen those GTR copy guards please let me know !

Just a question, you make it look like a GTR, but it's not - you don't mind this? I mean, having a gtr kit is one thing, but flaring the guards etc and then not having the brembos etc, why not just buy a gtr... a descent gtr costs uner $35K nowadays. the question is - why?

Gts4 = 4wd

fresh rb30DET lying round

+ widebody

you do th math :D

(ps: no GTR badges though !)

Did you find a s2 gts4?

i may put gtr badges on mind due to autech having gtr badges but not until it looks like a 4 door gtr

Yeh i spoke to Iron Chef about importing one, and he said he can help out.

Now its my choice:

1. Gts4 rb30 now

2. R32/3 GTR now

3. R34 GTR in about 1-2 years

Just need to work out what best fits in with buying a house...

hey mate gtr guards will be very hard to put on your s2 because

1. the nose is longer

2. the bonnet is different

3 the bolt holes are in different places, will over lap your headlight(park light section)

4.you wont beable to open the door properly

and just plain wont fit you will definitly have to modify it.

i had genuine guards and those were the problems i faced :D

all in all get fibre glassed :O

Have you searched? Ive done this to my car, though its a S1. Not as easy as you think. And quite expensive.

There are alot of little bits and peices need to make it all fit up. And as for the S2 i don't think it can be done without major modification to the front bar/grill.

The gtr guards mounting points are about 5cm wider that the gtsts and you also need a different bonnet as the guards sit higher aswell as hinges, latch and mods to headlight mounts and so forth. Rear guards require unstitching the whole guard and tubs, and alot of welding/grinding and smoothing.

Do a search i've explained it in more detail before.

i reckon i would look sweet, got any pics candy33?

Possibly, would look like a GTR? Fancy that!

From what i read on this forum from someone doing it, it was an easy $2000++ job for the front end alone, and the member said it wasnt worth the hassle.

from what ive looked into so far it looks dead easy for a S1 R33 but alot harder for S2 due to headlights

It is quite easy.. but just the sheer amount of bits and pieces that is required isn't really worth it. Because just to put the front guards on alone you need to change bonnet,

bonnet hinges,

latch,

grill,

front bar,

indicators,

modify side skirts,

inner guards,

guard raisers,

headlight spacers,

front bar reinforcement.

And yes its about $2000 in parts alone. Thats the proper way to do it.. but i'm sure there's cheaper ways to do it.
