S2 A/c Unit

Hey guys

I was wondering if the A/C Unit can be moved in the DIN panel. Reason I'm asking is that i'm going to put my gauges in the DIN slot but i would like to have it mounted at the top where the A/C Unit is...where the standard 3 gauge cluster would go

i would love to put mine at the bottom but not sure 1 if cables are long enough or 2 if the double din radio will fit up there depth wise .i do know you can get an extension cable thru yahoo ive seen them a few times with the ac controls fitted in glove box

Mike, I thought Darrin's answer was pretty straight forward. Yes.

That to me means "Yes, It can, I have done it, everything fits fine"

You can move it to the middle with no probs

No sure about the bottom. The mounting holes will not line up if moved to the bottom

yep i may have to redrill the bracket maybee as long as loom will reach without hindering the stereo

In S1's you cant move it to the bottom.

The mounting holes are no good for it as its designed for a headunit instead. I don't think there will be problems with the wire lengths.
