That "one sweet camera" is a Canon IxusV, that was on 1024x768xFine

It can do 1600x1200xSuperFine too.... but then i only get 80 shots of it.

I'll stick with 130shots of 1024x768

I got a few video's (yes, with sound) I may post up, but the resolution was down 160x120.... (could have had 640x480) so u can't even recognise the cars running.. they were skylines tho...

damn that was a good day.. 14 runs in total.

best of 14.66 with a full exhaust system.

all where pretty consistant with one another, if my 60footer was XX secs off my best, it was XX secs off the final time too.

would everyone be up for another once the wednesday nights start again. it'd be alot cooler.

techone ive seen run a 11.4 or was it 5.. anywho, it was quick :P

I think I have a video of it somewhere.

Shaun

Well that was a good first run of all time:p

I gotta admit im pretty happy with 14.38 as not much has been done. I reckon i coulda got it down a bit but i was a bit stressed about the whole axle hop thingy. Come to the conclusion that my suspension is not too good for drags.

Good to see most you guys down there even though i missed a few of you im sure ill catch up at the next event.

BTW: when is the next event?

Cheers

Shaun:D

14 odd skylines on show!

Damn I am unlucky sometimes:(

Oh well I'll just have to wait for a mid week event so I can go too.

That mid 13 of 'buffy's (may she rest in peace) is still looking a fair way off for our GTST boys.

Who will be first to take the glory?

buffy's record is for stock turbo cars?

Killer-T and Macka don't qualify anymore as they have after market turbos hehe.

atm Grandenko has the best stock turbo run at 13.80 which is fairly close to buffy's 13.65.

Grandenko can have the title for stock turbo/ stock ecu/ stock ic, then.:P

I did a quick search on SDU and found Buffy ran a best ET of 13.71@169kph, although highest TS was 13.9@175kph. Both those runs had a 60' of 2.279. These numbers are from the orginal drag meet thread, where Chris ran Buffy for the last time (AFAIK). Its interesting reading through the archives and seeing Buffys quoted ET get lower and lower as the date gets further from the drag meet :)

Buffy had:

HKS Intercooler

3" exhaust

13psi boost

Apexi Power FC.

I'm not sure I qualify for stock turbo/stock ic/stock ecu title, as the s-afc could be counted as a piggyback device. I'll gladly take the stock turbo/stock ic title tho :P

And I'll be back for the wed night drags with a fmic to battle for Buffys title too :)

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
    • That's all good, I thought I was missing some interesting feature! Maybe @PranK can double check if that is something that is meant to be operating or not.
    • I hope that is not something that bad. From what i remember he said that only first gear is "hard" to get in and that he has couple of ideas what to try next but idk 😕  hope it is not gearbox out. I will let you know.
    • If it's not the hydraulics, it is probably gearbox back out. Usually as per @Duncan's post, or otherwise associated with not getting the throwout fork positioned correctly. All the way up to catastrophically bolting shit back together without it being aligned properly and wrecking the clutch/input shaft/flywheel/something else.
