Hi ALl i hope you can help. i have an R32 rb20 with just an exhaust running about 11 psi and a haltec computer (e6k). recently the car has been going all wierd on me and i cant figure out the problem..

the car will be running fine and all of a sudden loose power and sound like it was running down a cylynder or 2, and run like a heap of sh11t, then just kick back to normal and be responsive as ever????. some times it runs like this for a few seconds, other times it can last for 10 minutes. it feels like the car is running on half the amount of cylinders and it sounds like a wrx with no power at all. i got a mate to check the leads and plugs and all seem well (plug 4 looked a little richer then the rest???) i have MSD coils?

i was told that if i had problems with the coils then the problem would be constant. but it is so random. it happens any time?? if im driving the car hard, if im at idle , if its cold start or warm??? it can happen any time. and i have no clue as to why.

can anybody help : ) please : )

check you voltages for the following:

AFM

Fuel Pump

Coils

Generally this sounds like an AFM problem as it is intermitent.

But could also be fuel pump intermitently losing voltage or trying to power a high resistance as the electric motor is about to shit itself.

Coils generally would get worse as teh engine gets hotter. i.e. it would cause the problem once the engine is warmed up.

check the AFM first.
