Removing Old Double Sided Tape

Hi hi,

I removed the sun shields/window protectors from my car and they have left some tape along the door liner around the window.

Has anyone had to remove something like this and what did you use? I need a stong safe product.

If you have some electrical contact cleaner soak the old tape with it and it should just lift off the surface (make sure it doesn't damage what ever you are applying it to first). You can then clean up the remaining residue with an old cloth and a little more contact cleaner.

Prepsol is probably the best product that I have used to remove tape / residue, you can get it from Repco - they call it Wax & Grease remover

Soak it in Prepsol and it should peel off no problems.
