Hey guys

car is still going strong and having fun. Paying for fuel hasnt been though.

I have solved majority of my fluctuating idle issue that i have had.

The problem being that my AFM was situated fairly close to the turbo which air coming from the turbo was disturbing the afm.

with some heavy duty truck induction hose from castrol diesel parts and twists and turns between the turbo and afm has solved the problem.

I still have a slight issue with the idle fluctuating minimally ( only for like 5 secs when idling after driving), possibly be the IAC which i am going to look at and clean.

I will get stainless steel pipe made up later so it will look alot better and maybe not so hard on the bends.

Sweet, you found a way round the issue!

That push on turbo coolant hose gets a little hot though doesn't it.

That car would be a hoot to drive :0

EDIT: is that the stock charcoal cannister?

you should be able to tune it out easy with the PFC, so you can ditch that bendy rubber hose.

How do you go by tuning it out with the power fc URAS? Im having the same problem with my car which has very similar setup. I thought the problem could be reduced with the power fc but i was told otherwise by a mechanic.

to tune it out of the PFC, (from what i have read) is to find the key load points when the idle is fluctuating and to halve the values.

It also said to make sure the valves dont go under 5, as then it wont run properly.

I didn't choose to go this route as through different sources i read this from, it said it was only a bandaid fix of the "FC Disease"

other people recommended to buy HKS EIDS to help with the idle, or to swap the PFC for another aftermarket ECU that has built in map sensor.

But yeah i believe its just my IAC thats affecting my minimal idle issue now. But i had drove my car last night and gave it a fair bit, parked my car and the idle didn't miss a beat or didn't fluctuate. So i iwill keep an eye on it.

all problems were solved today, the AAC valve was pulled apart, cleaned then put back together. Car idled perfect.

Until me, my bro and a mate were crusing down to the coast when my plenum decided to warp at southport. Air was pissing out the side of the plenum where it joins to the runners. I had fun driving the car back home on 80kms on the m1. Surprisingly the car kept going and we made it.

Hopefully the manufacturer will be able to fix it for me, and put a bigger base plate on it. (not one that is 5mm thick)
