Hey guys,

Thought id dive in for a big service which covers the following:

Service:

• Flush Radiator – Refill with fluids

• Flush Oil and New Filter (oil)

• Replace Diff and trans oils with supplied – diff 1.8L box 3.8L

• Lubricate door hinges, boot and bonnet

• Replace Fan belts

• Replace Fuel lines (cost not included)

• Replace bearings, water pump and Timing belt.

• Replace thermostat

• Replace brake fluid and bleed system.

• Replace fuel filter.

Now ive been quoted $500 for a full days work on the car.. Im supplying everything minus Brake fluid, thermo stat and fuel filter..

I dont believe fuel line replacement is included in the cost.

What do people think of that.. I mean all up it will see me close to $700 for all the oil and parts but long term worth it..

Im not to sure how much a normal 100,000km would cost but id prefer not to spend a shitload on it if im supplying everything, All they are really doing is wacking on parts and ripping the engine out.

Well replacing oils and diff oil i cant be stuffed.. so just let them do it.. should ussually be about $70 so the brake fluid and crap would be about $150 all up changed.

so estimate $450 for timing changes etc..

I really cant be assed when it comes to changing oils .. to dirty not enough space to do it and to damn lazy.

Might get a quote from some other people then if you thinking it no go.

Air filter = pod

I'd do it all myself, but then again I'm a mechanic, so I'd either do it on the weekend, or during the week and pay for me to do it, so yeah. And I get paid shit money, so thats difference between us. Its not that hard really, and saves $85 an hour!!
