also can anyone tell me what the hell this thing does in the ferrari race cars

seeing as the ferrari (probably a F430 challenge or challenge stradahli *how ever u spell that) are a sequential box, they have made it so that stick adjust whether you want to reverse or travel in a forward direction (hence why it is held forwards with a rubber band so it doesnt accidently get knocked). The other two buttons are for starting and something else i dont know. Dont take this as hearsay as im only going by when i looked aroudn a 360 a yr or two ago.

good ol jack monkhouse's mean datto, its been around for ages did rather well in rally's then jack stepped up to a backed evo7 in ARC now he is driving in the DA series, you also would have seen it doing skids at pt gawlerback in the day! he is a ns.com member
