Aluminium Radiator Leak

got a small problem with my just jap aluminium radiator its leaking like a lil b*tch, can these be repaired? if so can anybody tell me a reasonable place out in sydney (with decent work) that can fix this up asap, i know i can get it replaced at just jap, but if i cant id like to have options available, at the moment due to the size of the leak it looks like a cracked weld, but id really have to take the radiator off and pressure test it properly to find the exact spot but its on the passengers side for sure ..............HELP ME

JJR should replace it, if its clearly a manufacturing fault. If not, any decent alloy shop, should be able to weld it up for you. You could save some time, and pressure test it in a bath, looking for bubbles.

was yours aluminium as well? how much they charge you? was yours still on the car? i know i got alot of questions but its because id rather not travel to kirrawee and risk frying my engine as the radiator is still on the car, and i doubt justjap would send out another one and have me send the old one back again....

mate give just jap a call before you start deciding what they will or wont do to help you. I am sure they will replace it at no cost if there is a problem.

i already have (hence why i said i know they will replace it) but i just dont have the time to go that far, nor do i have a second car and driving far is risky.... justjap is 2hours away

That would help finding a place near you.

I had the same problem as you and some radiator places dont weld alminm, and some places which do alminm welding dont do radiators.

But since your asking for places in sydney, they are all gonna be approx the same distance from you as what JJ is.

And , yes i am bored, but its just obviously gonna be cheaper to remove the radiator and swap it at

Just Jap, rather than rapairing it at different place.

take out radiator. put stock one back in. now drive the car to just jap and get it replaced.

unless you don't have the stock one, in that case hit up a mate for a lift out there.
