haha... i think you guys have mis-read my interpretation.

i was just stating that the ability for the windsor svo or the aurora chev engines to be able to rev flat out for 1000km is amazing. i know the RBs ran bathurst back in the day - but i very much doubt they will be able to run at the same power levels for the same amount of time for the same amount of distance.

the holdens and fords take much more abuse than the RBs

Question: So the amount of time and money put into a HSV / FPV then put that to a RB, wouldn't you get the same result?

i'm sure with any amount of money it is achievable. i was merely talking with a bit of tongue in cheek in regards to the 'average aussie family car'.
