Hey guys,

I have an r33 gtst 95 model. I recently found an apexi boost controller hiding under my carpet! I bought the car bout 4 months ago and have also found a greddy turbo timer. Anyway the boost controller may be a source of a problem. The turbo seems to lag a fair bit until i hit 6000 rpm then it's away I go! But not for long because the fuel shut off at 7000rpm, which is useless. It has five dial settings, one for 800rpm, one for 2000 rpm, one for 3000 rpm, one for 4000 rpm, one for 5600rpm and one for 7200rpm. (wow that took a while to type.) I have a sneaking suspicion it is set up wrong. Anyway the motor is basic besides a HKS bov. (that i know of... it could have something hiding in there too. :) ) Each dial goes from zero to 30. I obviously should not put it to 30. I tried putting them all to 14 but it just super lagged. :) Any help will be appreciated. thank you. Matt

Take it to a tuner/workshop and get it looked at.

dont ever fiddle with those types of things without having the car fully checked out first.

You have no idea what AFR's its running, what boost, power etc.

dont dabble in the unknown, too many sad stories from people that have done that

Remove the SAFC, check your base ignition timing, refit your stock bov and remove the standard boost solenoid this should solve your issues providing you don't have an aftermarket turbo you don't know about etc. Probably put it on a dyno just to check afr's too.
