I did however get double the track time you did. 4 sort of dry laps compared to your 2...

I think the new shocks are working a treat !!

Imagine what a nice sunny day with warm track temps and bigger kahoonas could do to your times???

1.6 seconds and you've pipped Frank..

By the way, love your signature...

Was an interesting day if nothing else....sorry about those with dramas and I hope nothing was too serious with your beast archie.

I had a good day despite the clutch giving up the ghost....did a PB of 1:50.3 and then repeated it the next session. I think most of the time was made up at turn 1 and southern loop...to be honest turn 1 scared the crap outta me the first time - missed the apex and that grass and ripple strip was coming up very fast. Luckily the left hand wheels just touched the ripple strip with no adverse effect. The second time I hit the apex and there was much more room on the exit ;) Also had a bit of fun in the wetter session towards the end of the day and was going to go out again but figured it wasn't worth the tow home due to a busted clutch.

Dammit the 49's are soooo close

Pity about the weather and the bad luck with the car.

Only a very small window of opportunity where the track was good to get in some decent times so respect to those who managed to do PB's considering track temps/conditions.

Well done to Aaron on the 44....f*kn fast!

Time to see the doc re the engine noise

I haz teh frost bite!!!!

Hehehe - JK - was a good day despite the weather.

Congrats to all who competed, especially those who improved their PB's, particularly Aaron!!!

& good job Jack for playing the joke on Ferni :bunny:

Also thanks to those who officiated with me (Justin) & those who offered the services of their heater while lining up in dummy grid :D

It was v cold (thanks again for new jacket Bec ) Not too many dry session and a few of the boys had issues. A few good PB's ( Congrats Aaron 1.44.8 & Anthony 1.50 fantastic ). Archie & Andrew hope Dr.Beno doesn't have too much bad news.. Hard Luck Matt with the wiring gremlin bud..Next time..

Thanks Again Jack for the Shotgun ride.

Can't wait for the next PI, with Sunshine ?? :D

the weather came in pretty quickly on saturday afternoon,

there were some interesting moments on turn 3? (the almost 90 degree right hand corner)

during the supersprint sessions, an hsv ran straight off with massive understeer and a couple of the rwd cars including the black s13 got all crossed up on the exit which made it entertaining, the 360 was going flat out even in the wet which was exciting to watch too...

watching the yellow gt40 rep going flat out with the yellow evo chasing it was a cool battle too,

props to the gt40 driver for belting the car all afternoon, that thing looked so cool...

does anyone have info on the AVO r33, it looked awesome out there,

Dean's s14 held together which was nice, although he had his hands full in the supersprint with the yellow/purple VS commodore on his tail, apparently he could see it bucking and lifting front wheels out of corners in his rear view mirror... :)

1.44 hmm Maybe if i just turn left at turn 1 and cut out southern loop all together...... so bloody fast Aaron. Car must be feeling pretty good. What are the new shocks?

1.50.3, so close Ant. That extra half second was bloody hard when i did it not long ago. But I don't think anyone would bet against a sub 50 out of you next time out as long as the conditions are good.

They are some fast times!

Yeh the AVO car was having troubles in the morning. It seemed to be running better in the afternoon but was pretty wet. I dont think it got the chance to go any quicker then a 1:56 :)

Ant may end up re-writing the book for a pretty std GTR. 1:50 for shcoks and some N1 turbos and semis is a huge feat. Especially with the slippiing clutch !

And those times would have topped the times of the Porsche day on Sunday. There were a few crs into the 40s, but most were high 50s or 2mins +

Ha, i saw your car as i was coming back from some 'road testing' in my datto. you were just leaving, and funnily enought your car looked like it does in the avatar. don't you worry about mr. plod?

Haha I remember that datto!

Yeah I worry about the po po as it is my daily driver, until I get a work ute.. also having no front bar dosnt help (waiting to get my front bar back from paint)

Hopefully next time I wont be spectating!

Well done on the times guys. :D

Cheers

Liam.
