seen the subscriptions thing which is alittle silly

seeing as a new business would need to guess that they need to sign up first

then guess thats were they had to go under "my controls"

how about a "Advertise with us" link ? would make things easier

so back to the point if I sign up for 1 year or 1 month do I get a Banner(with a hyper link to my website) ?

someone I know is really just interested in the Banner and Wanted to buy replies

not having there own sub section or anything

also with the Banner is there anyway to get a bigger one ?

the current ones look rather small compared to say N.S.com

thanks

Ryan

Hi Ryan.

NS.com runs for profit.

SAU runs to exist.

Key difference to remember :P

As for subscriptions, 1yr/1month is JUST trading access only (in the traders section of the forum).

If you wish to go further (banner adverts etc) then that will cost you more - the trader options thread contains all the info.

Hi Ryan,

Send a PM to SAUTraderAdmin and Bec will sort you out.

As for size, I'm going to be changing the site a little bit soon and may be incorporating bigger banners, but as Ash said, I only have banners to pay the astronomical hosting cost for a site this big, I'm not trying to make money from it and we barely cut even with it every month as it is.

Christian

no worries Im happy for a bigger banner and the same charge if you like lol

a bigger banner would swing the deal to SAU I think if something could be arranged or planned when you make the changes

    • I definitely agree with you there - I never click on content for cars I would never ever be able to get or compete with/against/be seen next to. Seeing a MX5 compete with a FD RX7 will make people upset though, for sure. Even in 2.5L Turbo form which is pretty grass roots. (or at least as grass roots as classic cars can be) Yes we're all classic car owners now.
    • Wonder what the cause is, but here's hoping it's nothing too serious.
    • People don't always want builds that are overly expensive, or have engineering/registration/insurance issues and head aches that come with them Whilst big dollar builds, and complicated stuff is interesting to watch, there is only a tiny % of people who would actually use this information, or have the spare finances to drop on said builds, whereas the buy a cheap(ish) cool car, and make it better, with a average budget, that the average Joe or Jane could achieve will always be a winner in my opinion
    • Bit of a thread revival, you mentioned wanting a bit more top end before, do you regret not going with the 1.01?
    • It's kind of interesting - They definitely do builds that split the difference between what they like and what will generate views and engagement. The NC Platform always surprises everyone in a good way, in an uncomfortably good way some may say. They could throw a LS in there and arguably have the best (and best performing) car of the entire stable. But that isn't necessarily what draws views, because people viewing don't want to accept the vegetables of a LS NC MX5 being a superior vehicle in every way (including fun) than a RB26 240Z. This is also why there's not a lot of content about the GR Yaris (on the web in general). They're too good, yet 'only a Yaris' The community doesn't want certain cars to be as good as they are - to beat their hero cars, and I believe the NC MX5 is absolutely one of those cars.
