Once again its the 'Nissan Turbo'.

What bout the story with Ian Luff i think his name was, with the 32 GTR with '500 KW of power'. Looked like a very mildly worked example to me.

"all P plate drivers are hoons'

so you can't do anything stupid, its only stupid if you get caught? Which means driving at 140 through a school zone sideways isn't stupid?

But it is if you get caught?

hmmm lol

in vic it's 25k's over and you lose your license for a month! 20 over in a 110 zone (or maybe 100+ zone - not sure) and you lose it.

my boss lost his license for a year for doing 100 in a 60 zone in his brand new M3

A guy was "lapping" and dragging as all the P-platers seem to do here in Hobart on Wednesday, and (I'm guessing) was doing the "royal flyby" in his T-18 shitbox, in the centre of town, in a 50 zone, over 100kmh, down the wrong lane and directly through a red light and into a 50 year old blokes car going through the green. The old bloke was killed. The 2 p-platers were still alive last I heard. I hope they get bent over by the cops on this, if they live.

Could have been the same thing with this farkstick.

cheers,

floody

You should have seen the Ten news report.

He stated that the inexperienced 18 y.o. was driving a deadly turbo powered Nissan "missile" similar to one shown here...

cue clip of a lowered skirted BBS wheeled red S15 doing a fully s1k heli...

Man, I just broke up laughing...

He was doin 175 cause he knows he can...

Yeah... He's on his P plates and been driving for 2-3 years...

He knows EXACTLY what he can and can't do behind a wheel... Hell, with all that experience, we should licence him to drive 250km/h in 60 zones :(uh.gif

"He was doin 175 cause he knows he can..."

Gimme a break!!! slap.gif

His P plates indicate he's "Pathetic".

I don't agree that speed limits should vary from driver to driver. I like the idea that the law should be applied fairly and equally. It's not the speed that your worried about, it's the braking your worried about. There's a massive difference braking between 100km/h to 0km/h in a 200SX and 60km/h to 0 km/h in a normal Falcon/Commodore. My money is on the Falcon/commodore to stop on time.

We own a shop out in Minto and Airds Rd is right behind us. It's an industral area and there are illegal drag races there.

i got done last night for speeding for the first time in the 2 years i had my licence, i was delivering pizzas in my shitter and trhey got me 85km/h in a 60 zone, no p plates, they didnt notice but both front tyres are down to the radial and the windscreen is cracked badly...

they let me off with a tickt for $127 being uder 15km/h over the limit... who says cops are all bad?

the other day my mate in his drift180sx got pulled over doing 87km/h in a 50 zone and they did him for 15 over... maybe i have a good area but i am impressed with police lately.

I know you'll take immediate offence at this post, but don't. Read it twice before you reply please.

So you're "impressed" with the Police because they let you off for breaking the law? You do realise that braking is a function of traction don't you? If you have metal wheels (if you're on your steel belts), you're not going to stop ANYWHERE near as fast as if you had brand new slicks on (extremes to illustrate the point).

So really, in all fairness, your car is quite dangerous with those tyres on there, agreed? Would you have the same level of admiration for the Police if they defected your car for having unroadworthy tyres and a cracked windscreen, like they should have?

I'm constantly surprised by what factors people judge police on. If they let them off for minor speeding offences, the Police are doing a GREAT JOB!!!! If they rape you for street racing your mates up and down George St/Chapel St/Cavill Ave (!), then they're dirty cops...

Weird isn't it?

i agree to an extent andrew. looking beyond what the boys in blue do to protect us from unroadworthy cars though, they are the ones that we call on when our lives are in danger.

but it pisses me off no end when they are overly suspiscious or worst still, abuse that power. last night for instance, i was driving my g/f home at around 2am and i passed a paddy wagon travelling the other way. they proceeded to do a U turn at the next intersection and tail gate me for the next few kilometres. i had enough so i slowed down, pulled into the left lane and they proceeded to go past me, slowly, they peered into the car and turned left infront of me at the next available opportunity.

now in one way im grateful to them, they would've probably done a number plate check to see if the car was stolen, but what if they pulled me over for a random breathe check for the sake of being overly suspiscious? i have no time for this shit, i wanted to get home as soon as i could because i was tired. if i was in any other car besides from a sports car they would'nt have had second thoughts.

so my point is, i think the general consensus within performance car enthusiasts is they are bastards when they appear to abuse that power. id like to think that everyone had respect for them for the job they try to do.

:werd:

I cant believe anyone on here would defend 170km/h in a 60 zone as "hes doing it because he knows he can" and "hes got a better car therefore he should be allowed to"

WHAAAATT?

There is no other phrase to describe the above act than "ABSOLUTE F'UCKING STUPIDITY". As for the "oh and i suppose youve never gone over the limit" crowd, get real. Theres a big difference between doing 70 in a 60 and 170 in a 60.

Anyone who defends this f'ucking muppet deserves the same punishment he gets.

    • Hi, does anyone know how I can, or can a moderator remove this advertisement please.  Has been sold a long time ago and would like to remove references. Thanks.
    • There are adaptors that allow you to delete the booster and use an s15 clutch master cylinder.    if you want to keep the booster they are still available brand new
    • I visited again today: It would appear they have painted the main body of the car and some parts of some of the panels, so I can say that I now have BMW parts in my car, much to the envy of @Dose Pipe Sutututu It is still covered in dust which is quite the tease but I did look at a few circumspect spots that will be behind bumpers and such and wiped some dust away: After my repeated begging to PLEASE DONT PAINT OVER THE ENGINEERING CERTIFICATE (you have to re-engineer the entire car if they do) I see THIS: Which is great. Excellent job tbh at least to me. A better non dusty example would be the backs of the doors that have been painted: Giving a reasonable contrast between old and new (I know the old isn't clear coated on the inside of doors). The door card will well and truly cover where the old paint is, you can see in the second pic some of the black butyl/whatever shit is sticking the plastic sheet behind the door transfer that has happened since it's clearly been stuck back on. The most maddening thing about this colour is every time I saw it in the wild it looks like another colour, same with photos of many cars with the same colour looking wildly different in every photo anybody ever takes and this is no exception. But stand a little further back and it suddenly looks dark AF. I did tell them when I was discussing which of the 70 million charcoal colours to choose from (a porsche one, a BMW one, or a R32 GTR one etc) that if they just ignored me and chose one at random I would probably never notice. Maybe they did. But the colour is supposed to be B39 (BMW Mineral Gray). Boring I know, but the R34 sedan (to me) really shows off it's boat-ness when you paint it in a bright colour like bayside blue or white or whatever else. I do have a fondness for AR2 Nissan Red, but decided against that because it'll have pretty odd contrast to random bits unpainted (like engine bay, bits of trim etc, and maybe it'll fade). And people will always fkin comment on AR2. Everything remains super dusty. I have tracking numbers for the new heads, as well as some Improved Racing goodies, but they probably will be a next year thing by the time they end up on the car. I did some maths on the heads and I know why nobody goes to this extent in Australia, because it's really not worth it, given I could have just CNC'ed my current heads, bought a FAST102/TB and used my current rocker/spring/cam combination and get a 383 stroker (or stroked a 6.0 GenIV bottom end to 6.6L) built for the same price of just the setup in the mail/on the floor here. Or I could have bought a LS3 and a Drysump system. And then have a complete engine to sell. Oh well
    • We just disconnected the vacuum line if I remember correctly, booster is still there. Is there a rebuild solution for the booster or a different adapter that will work for GTR chassis?
