im more focused on cost rather than performance - great link though, thanks

This is the whole point of the thread.

People compare tyres & prices.. If you know the tyres in the size that you are looking for search the thread and people usually post the prices up as well..

eg:

Handco(k K104 sport "Y" rated (300km)

dry 9/10

wet 8.5/10

value A+++

great handling tyre cost $230 for a 255/40/17 From JAX!!

;)

Am also interested as I am looking for a set of Falken 452 which are pretty much the best tyre in its price range.

Tempe has been cheapest so far but their service is terrible. Jobsons in Parra is not too far off, probably better service too haha

Anyone else have ideas?

Id rather pay more than use tempe again

I thought the same mate. I recently bought Falken FK452's in 265x18 .. Rang around everywhere ELSE but Tempe fearing their quality of service and got quoted as high as $415.

Called Tempe in the end, they said $260 straight up and the guy was actually not a dick about it. He was a normal guy and got back to me when he said he would.

If you want to talk to someone good at Tempe ask for Max he's the guy I dealt with and his service and price was good.

When i asked for a discount on that price he chucked in fitting and balancing... which is quite a good deal I reckon...

Don't write off Tempe imo...

Get these mate, i've got the them and for the price they're bloody awesome!!!

What are "THESE" mate?? Ill be up for a set in the next month or so too..... So i'm keen

Sorry to cut into the thread :)

bloody awesome in comparison to what exactly? :)

they sound like cheap chinese tyres.. have you had any other tyres on your car?

I've had a couple of good experiences with Tempe, they've always been nice to deal with in the times that i've been there. Although they definitely dont fit the type of people I like to deal with, I've never had a negative experience there either. Just dont expect a coffee and cookies on arrival. They're business is wheels and tyres, they are the cheapest and they know it. The arrogance shows occasionally!
