Bigger lines are usually for carbie-fed cars - ie those without any fuel pressure. With the hammer down on a carb'd car you can quickly empty out a 3/8" fuel line which is why many big HP carb'd cars run 1/2" lines or even bigger. But as Steve said, I've never heard of 600hp or even higher fuel injected cars needing bigger lines.

There was a 1000 hp GTR on Prestige Motorsport's mailing list recently and there is no mention of bigger fuel lines, just 2 044 pumps and 1000cc injectors. It's possible that he's running 2 fuel lines, or maybe the "HKS fuel delivery" is a bigger fuel line, but it's not very specific.

I got some prices today from Repco Autoparts.

Bosch 910 (200L/hr) = $382.99

Bosch 975 (228L/hr) = $517.99

Bosch 984 (228L/hr) = $506.99

Bosch 044 (330L/hr) = $1113.99

I'm looking for an intank pump that can handle ~285rwkw (~200L/hr). I can order a Nismo 17042-RRS40 (246L/hr) delivered from www.greenline.jp for ~$370.

Can anyone suggest some places where I can find these pumps cheaper? As im looking to buy/fit 1 like asap.

those prices are ****ed stupid...u can get a 044 for under 400....Ive seen people selling them here and on performanceforums....ill take a look later coz i gtg

Try touching base with INASNT, he can get them alot cheaper.

An Auto Electrican around the corner can get me the Bosch 910 for $275 + fitting. Apart from that he was extremely hopeless, couldn't even spell Bosch.

I'm doing a Bosch 044.

Not because I need the 330 litres an hour but because the people who are installing it can do it in their sleep.

$440 from UAS and you know that's an avg. price.

I only -need- about 200L/hr but anything higher at a reasonable price i'll take.

Tony, do UAS re-use the old bracket or do they make their own up? And is that $440 installed and including extra fittings? If so that's a very good price for the pump, if you minus 1 hour's labour and ~$50 of fittings.

I'm seriously thinking of making my own bracket, and then give the plans out to anyone else interested in fitting a Bosch pump. I just need some motivation on the weekend, at a time where my fuel gauge is below the empty line.

Well $440 is just the pump. But I get fitting for free right now.

woa! and to think people wouldn't part with $200 for my perfectly good 910.. silly people. Ended up giving up and just installing it myself

I have heard you can get the 910 for under $250 new, but this seems to be "I can get for $xxx, i give you $xxx for your pump".. not sure of the details of exactly where these people were talking about or whether they were full of crap.

The 910 is a 1-2 hour job, which might save you $200 in labour costs. It might be all you need depending on your HP goals. Its an easy job trust me - i'm not an expert.. but worked it all out fine. ..this is basically the install of the 910..its that easy:

044 seems to be a bit more involved, mainly because of the size of the friggin thing...

So the 910 fits straight into the standard bracket im assuming?

What extra parts are needed to make it all "work" ? From what I can see it looks like i'll just need a large clamp to fix it to the standard bracket ? and then connect all the standard parts back to it?

I want to get it all done and hooked up (will pay some if i have to) but at the momemt im getting no where.

Its not a straight fit, but with a hose clamp (as shown) it will be held very tightly into position. The only slightly difficult part was just figuring out a way to get the sock/filter back onto the new pump with the different size connector. I used 2x small hose clamps and a small bit of hose (as shown) to overcome that. After that you just slot the bracket back in, manouver it into place and put it all back together.

Maybe I should right a tutorial? although i think i saw one out there actually...
