WOW! What a load of crap!

Where do i start?

Dont ask me how but i presonally know every staff member of the above Security Car Park. I know everything there is to know about the carpark including any information about car thefts that have been reported to Westfield...(If it wasnt reported then that person is an idiot because there is CCTV cameras in Security Parking)

Guess what guys? There has NOT been any cars stoled from Miranda Security Parking EVER!

Marni - Did you ever consider that the staff from Security Parking were doing their job? keeping their eye on the cars.. Is it an offence to admire a car? im sure every person on this forum has looked in the window of a car they liked. I know if i looked into the window of a car I liked and realised the owner was still in it i might be a little shocked an not know what to say.. What was this person wearing?

Not that my word means anything to anyone on here, but i can say that nobody who currently works or has worked for security parking for atleast the last 5 years is a car thief, or even involved with car theft. (I am speaking about Security Parking Staff, not Security from inside the shops)

$50 lost ticket fee?? Get your facts right guys! There is no lost ticket fee.. The staff simply check out the driver and car for any sigs of theft before letting them exit for FREE!

I am happy to answer any questions about the Car Park if anyone is interested, i have no vested intrest in promoting Security Carpark. Only the integrity of the staff.

Im do not have info on the free parking areas so park there at your own risk. I am sure these types of cars are targets in all carparks...

I will say that Westfield Miranda Security Parking is exceptionally safe to park any car...

What staff?

Thefts have been from the general access carpark, not the little one on the roof

Im not disputing the fact that cars get stolen from miranda carpark. If you a had read my post properly i am disputing the statements made about the Security Parking area within Miranda car park. It is only 200 spaces, it has CCTV and is patrolled. There have been issues raised in this thread about cars being stoled from there and staff being involved. This is totally false!

As everyone knows it is a definate no no to park your car in the Westfield Miranda car park.... and Westfield wipes their hands of it... they dont care that all these cars are being stolen, but i think we need to make a stand, and hurt them as much as losing these cars hurts us... the last thing the Westfield empire wants is bad publicity, TodayTonight and A Current Affair are busting their arses to get stories to cover and catch people out... Think about it, they do all the research and set the traps to catch these people out why not give them a reason to do it, maybe it will make Westfield overview their "Security Parking" policies in the protection of the cars that are parked there

Just recently the bf and I were greeted at the boom gates of the security parking by this young bloke and knowing the danger of leaving the car there I left my bf there with her... obviously the "security guard" didnt hear an alarm go off not knowing that the bf was still in the car waiting for me to get back, next thing this bloke is walking around the car scoping it out when my bf sat up and asked if he was right, sure enough he had nothing to say a fair bit of umming and arring before he choked out "just doing a patrol" of 15 cars that were in perfect site from where he was standing when we first saw him and funny enough he was looking at our car the only import in the parking lot... *a little to suspicious dont u think* I seriously think that these security guards get on the phone to their thieving mates who arent far to come and boost these cars, and ill bet they dont even charge em the $50 lost ticket fee as long as they get the parts or the cut that they want, ill bet any day these cars have been stolen from the "security" parking there is no record of this fee being paid, ( think about it, its a taxable item, therefore has to be recorded and a receipt must be issued)

If this makes it to the media think about how much it would hurt that Westfield, obviously showing they hold no regard for their shoppers property, and therefore deters customers from parking there because of the fear that their property will be stolen even if u pay for using this scam of security parking which doesnt even prevent the loss of these vehicles. If they really did care dont you think they would have cameras especially in this parking area, obviously you pay the $4 to have your car inside a gate that isnt secure at all. Even if at a minimum they install CCTV cameras it would deter whoevers stealing these cars and perhaps offer a bit more protection. You might as well park your car anywhere within the common parking area, wat a scam it is!

I think this is the only way to give Westfield the wake up call they need and will force them to realise that its not just a couple of people they have to deal with... its many

drop me a line and let me know wat u think....

serisously......ive read through all this.......

you know what i think?!

DONT BOTHER

well let me ask you a question FIRST....

have you ever THOUGHT about the security having something to do with this?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

how many secure carparks over sydney or even over seas....with CCTV camera & boom gates etc.

with cars stolen and the security either never seen the footage or never heard anything.....etc etc.

you know... they may even be getting paid under the belt for all you know?!

i wouldnt not leave my car in anyones hands......especially security guards....

if its your car........its your responsibility..........

why do you even bother parking in a parkling lot? park on the street.....

anywhere you park, there is a risk...............and thats a RISK you gotta take if you ignore that fact.

and if it does get stolen? stiff shit......shouldnt of drove it there in the first place....... or your just gonna have to accept it and claim it on your insurance? (UNnless you dont even have comprehensive insurance?!?!?!?!??!)

wait, leme guess.....your probably paying third party 700$ per anum from just cars......instead of $4,000?!

serisouly....nothing you can make them do....

say they improve their security...... and what?.......your telling me from then on....your gonna TRUST your beloved car in thier hands?!

mate....the car is the safest in your own drive way......

ok how about if one day you and a mate get really bored and drive down there in 2 seperate cars. 1 a really nice car that they may want to steal and an old sh!t box and park the nice car in a area that theifs would love and then park the second just far enough away that you can keep an eye on the nice one.

have a couple of baseball bats in the car and just sit and wait. as soon as someone breaks into it you get and crack em in the head.

steal their wallets then leave. dont report a thing. wait a few weeks go to their house and get some payback?

whatever happened to the good old vigilantly style of society?

all it takes is a stake out and some good revenge ideas.

i dunno might not stop everyone from stealing cars but it will stop at least 1 person. and isnt that better than none?

or maybe not do this cause you might get locked up too. anyway just an idea. :D

Edit: SAU does not support my ideas and opinions so do what you will at your own rick :woot:

you need to know your powers as a citizen before you go ahead and do something like this because if you actually go ahead and do something like this you will get ACA and TT on your back. you'll get questions like "well why didnt you just make a police report?" and you're going to be there sounding like everyone else does on those shows saying "the cops dont do anything, they're this they're that ra ra ra". your credibility goes out the window and it becomes a story about vigilante hoons accusing random people for stealing cars. if the would-be thief got a good lawyer he could easily make it out to look like the keys were handed to him then he was jumped by guys who video taped the entire thing... then your asses get sued.

How about a little bed time story ?

Once upon a time, there was a sudden & dramatic increase in shoplifting by under-age theives in Eastdale shopping centers all over Australia. After months and months of business owners and staff complaining, a strange man called a senior representative for Eastdale. This strange man said he could make almost all the shoplifter's go away, and those that he did catch, he could make sure they remembered getting caught. In trade, the man requested control over the security operations of most Eastdale Center's in Aus.

After many more months of theft and then even threats of violence towards staff, the senoir rep for Eastdale called the man up and asked him to help. The strange man told the senoir rep that some bad things were going to happen but everything would be OK. So, after much reluctance the rep agreed. The strange man then brought in all of his "people" to control the situation and within hours, the problem was all but gone.

Now, for some strange reason, young people in their modified cars were having their cars stolen from the car parks of Eastdale shopping centres. The rep asked the strange man if he knew anything about this situation to which the strange man replied, "These are the kind of young and disruptive people you don't really want in your shopping center, right ?" The rep said, "Well yes ! That's correct." The strange man said "Well then, they're likely to stop coming here if their pride and joy is likely to get stolen right ? Which means there really is no problem, is there ?" The rep said, "I guess not. But I don't want any of this to come back on me or my organisation." The strange man said "There's no chance of that !" So the rep goes away feeling happy that those "young people" who are of a disruptive age and nature would be less likely to bother the good shoppers at Eastdale centre's.

Although many cars have now been stolen and many police reports have been filed, cars just keep being stolen from Eastdale car parks. Slowly, the number of young disruptive people decreaced as they found

somewhere else to "hang out". And everyone lived happily ever after.

Oh, the name of the story is: "Organised Crime." Now, off to bed. Good night & sleep tight :D

that is very stupid dude......

AUstralian law does not accept vigilates...

if someone stole your car for e.g and you say, caught up with him somewhere nearby..... and you hospitalise him.

you will get your ass sued like no tomorrow.......

a friend of mines work mate.. (this was on the news a few months ago) the break-in in marrickville...

the 25 yr old resident came home on a friday night to see a robber jumping out his window with his laptop and belongings...

in rage, he crash tackled him and put him in a headlock...

Then the robber started to panic and took chunks out of his arm with his teeth whilst being in his grasp.

obviously with pain down your arm & the hatred towards the robber he tightened his grip....... then the robber passed out.

Fell into a coma....totally hospitalised.

in the end....the robber actually DIED because he didnt wake up ...life support had to be shut down.

and this particular victim of theft... JUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST managed to escape

manslaughter by a bee's dick....... due to the media supporting him.

and for an owner of a "fully sick hectic skyline couz" p-plater...... i dont like the chances with that combination.

and an employee of my current job...

defended his brother from being bashed by a group of guys. this person actually king hit one of the attackers..... then the person being hit fell wrong.

the head clashed onto the concrete. ... then....DEAD..... AS DOOR KNOB!

he got away with manslaughter for 1.5 years only serving weekend detention at Silverwater prison. He still came to work Mon-friday though...( he was a sorry man, i can tell you that much....he practically regreted it)

but recently not long ago... the family of the victim appealed the sentance again

and guess what....... GONE STRAIGHT TO JAIL FULL TIME.............."GOOOOooOOOOOOoONeEE!!!!!!!"

FINISHED.....

so maybe you should think about it before deciding to play Batman........

How about a little bed time story ?

Oh, the name of the story is: "Organised Crime." Now, off to bed. Good night & sleep tight :D

you know...car re-birthing is alot worse than what it was before......

organisations like these are hard to stop.... seriously......telling current affair going to help?!

some of these car re-birthing is connected to over seas crime families......some Bikie gangs are related as well.

look at the end of the day......my point is....... its YOUR car....its up to YOU to keep it safe....

cause if your gonna start pointing fingers.....you blame alot of things with no end.

You first blame the security of miranda...... then you blame miranda westfields management... then you blame the CCTV company who they contract the surveilence to...

then you blame the POLICE organisation that handles car thefts and re-births and saying they arent doing a good job... then you blame the government of not funding them properly ......blah blah blah........ and then end up blaming yourself for not purchasing full comprehensive insurance cover?!

seriously......... where you gonna start?????????????????????????????? where you gonna stop???????????????????????????????????

thats why, just spare an extra thought before you leave your car somewhere......and make sure you got comprehensive insurance

.........end of story.

+1

Miranda is a joke, i went there before christmass and payed for security parking there, some punk kid collects my money, i ask for a ticket or a reciept and he says they dont issue any..... (bullshit)... anyway i was uneasy leaving the car alone there especially since they were commenting to their friends about how fast these skylines are and how expensive certain parts are for them.... that was enough convincing for me, i rang up a friend who owns a phone shop in miranda and asked where he takes his cigarette break, sure enough he being a 2 pac a day smoker was out watching my car for a few minutes every 15 minutes lol. car stayed safe, but in my oppinion the security at miranda car park is definately getting paid to supply information to a 3rd party of what "stock" rolls in. No hard evidence, but i would have had to have been very very trusting in human kindness to leave my car there un protected.

But also westfield does owe the public that Pays to use their so called "security parking" a duty of care... either they should not advertise it as "security parking" and recieve a "profit", or it should just be free parking. Yes westfield has allot of money, connections and a great legal team, but if the insurace companies start feeling the squeez and they are forced to chase money from where they can, westfield will surely loose because these insurance companies have the real money, power and connections to get anything through....

on the other hand if westfield get rid of the security guys at that car park, then the third party would just pay the trolley collectors to keep an eye out for what cars are in the carpark, and for the right price almost anyone would give a phone call for a bit of $$$$

Well good luck to you.

I wouldn't be volunteering my car to have someone destroy the door/window (getting in), key assembly/ dash / wiring (starting it), rims / body (when they do a runner).

Your heart is in the right place though, and I hope you get involvement from the media and then police who will probably only get involved once the media approaches them.

Below is for the vigilantes

Coming from someone who has been through an attempted car jacking experience (at gun point), it sounds all very mucho to say 'wait for them to break in and go bash them", well I'm sorry but the guy doing the break in is going to be so pumped full of adrenaline that there will be no rationalizing when he 1s tries to run, then realizes he is cornered and fights back in defense. Everything happens so fast that no one thinks about what they are doing. Also someone doing this sort of thing and putting themselves in a situation that they may get seen / caught is most probably going to armed in some sort of fashion (screw driver at least).

If you do "bash" the guy, then I guess we will see you on ACA being led out of court in cuffs.

Having members in Management rolls in the RTA would help id say.

You see the types of people who go upto security guards and shake their hands cause their all friends.

Sif trust any of them.

yeah dont trust security guards because they have friends.

f**king.........oaaaaaaaaaaaaathhhhhhhhhhhhh

i say sometimes they could be getting paid a cut.......for the stolen vehicle and being the informer.

you know, you can run to daily telgraph....today tonight....accurrent affairs.....

at the end of the day.........its their buisness to exaggerate things and publicise by media attention.

thats where they make their money... their profit....

they dont give 2 shits about your "fully hectic sick hotted up skyline couz...bro"

like the bikey that got killed on the weekend at sydney airport.... he had a high roll in RTA and had access to all of our files, cars, mods (if declared) adresses....

in the end of the day get comp insurance and be smart about where you leave your car because you cannot trust anyone other than yourself...

Lots of people with issues, could all be setup issues but the consequences in some cases are significant.    All of the below are other peoples stories, not mine and are unverified.  Seen 2 x broken adapter ring that destroyed the gearbox as it failed.   They still do seem to have twin plate rattle despite claims of silent. Several issues with it not holding power but some evidence of constant pressure on plate. Setup issues with bite point.   Lot of people after 2-4 weeks swapping back to another brand.    On the positive side, I've seen a barra put down near 1000hp at the wheels and its held it.  Also everyone seems to confirm the pedal is light.    Does have me a little cautious and looking at ATS carbon clutches again .......
