tinting lights

got a mate with a silvia,

any of you guys tinted / smoked / blacked out the rear lights before? know how to do it? i heard theres a special spray for it or something. any ideas?

and whats yur opinions on the tinted look?

go down to your autobahn, they should have black tinting spray.

Silvia lights tinted will look ok. but..."ITS THE LIGHTS" in the lines so whatever you do. dont tint your lights.

thanks pushead, yeh i know what you mean, i wouldn't mess with the lights on my line.

but as for NA s13's... once you put a full exhaust and AFC there isn't much else to do to it without spending big bucks, so you start playing around with stuff like tinting lights and so on...

yeah they got that stuff at supercheap as well. but i wouldn't do it either... too many lancers and sh1t around with that crap and it looks very cheap if u ask me

make sure you cover all the exposed paintwork when you are spraying that shit around the lights./

peronally, i think tinted tail lights are yuck.

i helped my mate with his lancer. we removed the whole tail light to avoid damaging the paint job

If you're tinting the lenses, i agree remove them. Then take em to panel beater and get them to clear coat them and bake them so they 1 - don't have a crap matt finish and 2 - stays on and doesn't chip off

I think that stuff is illegal anyway.. as you have to be able to see the original colour of the light from an equal distance to an uncovered light.

You might get away with it for a bit, but you might not..then u gotta take it all off.
