THIS IS THE LATEST THAT I HAVE RECEIVED FROM PAUL AT STS.

Funny how James doesnt reply to me even though i receive an answer from Paul...

Hi James.

The guys down here are just not impressed James, they really are not.

Unfortunately ACPT and StS have had their reputations tarnished over this one.

StS Australia in particular has been hurt as there will be no further repeat business from this group on any product I would suspect.

Please expedite the successful conclusion of this deal.

Thanks,

Paul.

Subject: RE: RE Marc PALMER Drive Shaft - Skyline GB for Australia

Sorry for the late response Paul, i have been dealing with Mono and just finally got back to work this week. I am trying to find out what happend to the ones that were not delieverd yet. I have already started to make new shafts for the ones that did not recieve anything yet. I am pushing these through the shop as fast as i can an i am hoping to have these done and shipped out next week. Marc Palmer driveshaft will be shipped tomorrow as it was sitting down at the balance shop and nobody contacted us to pick it up. We are going down there today to pick it up today and i will have this one shipped out tomorrow.

ACPT Inc.

this just now from Paul

Hi Marc.

This is very frustrating for us all down here. I have had slow service from ACPT before but, NEVER anywhere as bad as this.

The AUD dropping was bad enough, no one had any control over that, but there is absolutely no excuse for this tardiness in service.

All I can to is, in a very embarrassed way, continue to apologise, and keep persisting on your behalf and all the others in this deal.

The problem is, that ACPT make the best CF shafts in the world, they have the best prices, and unfortunately they know it.

I have tried doing business with the other two CF manufacturers, but believe it or not there service is consistently worse, and their prices are much dearer and they do not have the expertise to do custom jobs that many of my customers want.

Fortunately the Company I use for the 1pc Aluminium Shafts, (Powertrain Industries) have terrific products, terrific service and terrific prices.

Regards,

Paul.

Funny how a tailshaft for a group buy which they get hounded for by ME via telephone conversations still got forgotten and left at the balancing shop, never tried to ring up and ask "hi mate where is that shaft we sent you to get balanced, owner wants it!"even when i whinged and whinged about it not being delivered. Lying dogs!

F#@k I feel for you blokes..pretty slack service and I reckon if the rest of us hadnt got our shafts we be screaming we got shafted!! (sorry couldnt resist that one)..

hope it all works out sweet...

on the flip side I should have mine in next week so be interesting to see the difference if any

Good to see that you guys shafts arent that far away..well maybe..

Looks like mine wont go in this week as too bloody busy, just got enough spare time to pick up me new N1 block this arvo and drop it off at HKS for machining. Hopefully shaft goes in next week.

Hows that shaft going?? you guys got it fitted yet and was it all ok??

in the beginning if there was one they'd f**k up i'd have thought it was yours..

    • And at over $2 per litre I'm starting to consider setting up a corn mash still and converting over to alcohol and running mine on it !  Up side of that is it all doesn't have to go into the car ! Win win !
    • H2 (for cars) will never happen. It's not reasonable for any number of reasons. It's also not reasonable for almost all of the industrial uses that the fanbois say that it will be used for, again for a large number of reasons. There are some cases where it will be good. But, even those will be massively hampered by the economics. The only way that H2 can be economic is if we somehow manage to get from where we are to the other side of the economic-valley-of-death in which no-one can operate. You need there to be sufficient renewable generated electricity to be available so that it is effectively free. Once you are there, you can do whatever the hell you want and hang the efficiency. But until you get there, the ever diminishing value of electricity makes it harder and harder to encourage businesses to build the new generation capacity, and they will simply stop investing in generation projects. (I kinda think there needs to be just government money spent on building the required capacity in a non-commercial way, similar to how the first fossil fueled grids were built, as national-government owned utilities. And probably some nuclear in there to start. But this all should have started 10-15 years ago to avoid the chasm of death that we face right now). Synth fuels will be much more likely, but will only occur is there is at least some renewable H2 production, because you need H2 to do it. And you need stacks of free (or at least extraordinarily cheap) energy because assembling molecules back into fuels is exactly the opposite process to burning the fuel, and the reason we burn fuels is because there is so much energy squeezed into each molecule. So you're somewhat subject to the same economic valley of death problem as above anyway. That is unless people are willing to pay the current equivalent of $5 or $6 per litre of petrol-ish liquid fuels. Can you imagine it? The squealing at $2 now is bad enough.
    • This is so cool. Get a dashcam that records audio and hopefully you'll catch it.  Maybe there's a brand or some kind of markings on the back ? Are the pics hand drawn? I love it so much.
    • Hahaha yep, point(s) taken. I just like seeing different things and an EV in an R32 is pretty different. I'm not on the EV band wagon, I'm waiting for synthetic fuels or hydrogen personally.
