yeh ive just got my hands on another set of GTR rims, awesome rims, perfect size and offset for track rims, just cant be too fussed about wheel fitment haha. im probs gonna chuck my 25mm spacers on the back, but for grip ill just ditch the spacers.

if u want some ive got those up for sale, powdercoated white.

55mm bolt ons? no thanks LOL. And I prefer them in original silver..... :D

May be interested though, My missus's car died friday arvo, so we're talking about her having my modded KE70, and stripping the 31 and putting my gear into a stealth S13, to use as my street car/daily/slider....

Havent figured out much though.

Going to be interesting but, having rear camber and other fun stuff to play with LOL.

A quick explanation, I haven't received your refund back from the supplier yet, so I don't have it to send to you. The Group Buy is a no profit deal, I only do it to give SAU guys the best products at the best prices. So it is unreasonable to expect me to personally repay you. We have asked the suplier for it several times and, as you are no doubt aware, there are issues with the reasons for the return. As with any supplier it is very difficult to get refunds for returns of specially ordered items. I am negotiating on your behalf and I expect a resolution soon.

Cheers

Gary

Thankyou for the update, at least now i know where i'm at. I wasn't aware of the situation because the last time you replied to one of my PM's was Feburary 11th.

its not so much about the width of the tyre but rather the quality of the rubber your using which will detirmine the amount of grip available. I run a 235/45/17, because its a common size, therefore quality tyres can be had cheaper. i'm over stretching, i rather run a 235, rather then a 215 or a 225 on a 9.5 inch rim for the above reason.

as for semi's on front.. .some people like it and some dont, i personally prefer to run similar gripping tyres all round to keep the balance the same. i dont actually mind a little bit of understeer as it helps with high speed drifts. Since a lot of drift battles and qualifying runs take place after a lonmg line up while sitting and waiting, any heat that is in a semi tyre will be long gone, so your stuck with an un performing tyre straight off the bat. Hence why i think street tyres or R tyres are better then semi's.

cheers for that simon. Was looking for someone who had experience with different tyre setups. :):)

As for tyre widths, The Bridgestone RE-050A 225/45's I have were cheap, They arent too heavily stretched as Bridgestones seem to have VERY think sidewalls, They do grip a shitload, but then after a bit they just fall apart and delam like a leper. But from what Ive seen from the Sumitomo HTZ-R2 tyres (The tyres Im switching to in a week or so), They seem to stretch a bit more, so Ill be changing the rears to 235/45 R18's, and The people who have been running them so far cant speak highly of them enough.

Fronts are your standard issue RE050A 215/45's on 9 inch wheels. Slight stretch, nothing rediculous. Didnt want to go crazy on the front end.

If I do change to a Silvia, i'll be swapping back to my 8/7kg springs (Have Swift 10/8kg springs on my Silk Roads ATM) and going to a r33 gtr wheel, with a high performance 215/45 R17 street tyre. Should be ok I think. am going to think a lot more about Rear camber/Traction/toe rod setups, Swaybars (Upgraded or adj), castor, front track, steering lock etc.....

haha well not everything is about fitment, u dont have to run 55mm, u dont have to run any at all, but if u wanted u could go 30mm and it would sit nicely.

I did some more maths, I actually only need 30 - 35mm bolt ons all round.

When ROH made my wheels, the centre bore dia. was too small, so was having a custom 25mm bolt on spacer made. I had the Centre bores on my 10's bored larger, but in doing so they damaged the paint and had to have the centres repainted, resulting in a further 6 week wait (Wheelworx busy/MC doyle flat out then closing for new year/X_Mas etc)

But after working with camber and kingpin adj today, I reckon I could either get 4-5 bolt hub adaptors made, or convert to 5 stud, and fit them with a 30mm bolt on.

Food for thought anyways. Pity about the live rear on the 31. Be a lot easier on a S13....

What you want for the GTR wheels?

asking 1300 as they have been freshly reconditioned and powdercoated, and considering my last set went for 1200 with what i thought was farked paint, pretty reasonable.
