hey guys,

I am considering selling my nismo body kit which is on my R34 Skyline 25-GT '99 model (2 door) in white. Currently i am considering it because i need to first of all find out whether GTT or GTR bodykits such as the Impul one will fit my car. I was also interested to find out what this kit would be worth and if there was genuine interest in buying my kit.

here are the pics:

thanks

yer mate ill post up some pictures when i have some free time to. to tell the the truth i have no idea if it will fit your '98 model, you may have to ask someone else about that. but yes i may consider spilitting it up and selling the kit off seperatley. i was thinking around $600 for the front bumper? is that reasonable? also i just want you to know that its not definate that i will sell this kit, i want to find out if people are interested, and i would need to buy another body kit first. that is why i need to find out if an Impul body kit would fit my car.

ill post up the pics soon.

thanks

pretty sure the coupe model all fit. either way if you do buy an r34 aftermarket kit the workshop should be able to make it fit anyways.

don't know prices on the front bar but yeah 600 buck is pretty steep for me.

sorry mate but i have no idea, you might need to ask someone else about that. from what ive herd the front bumper can fit the sedans, the side skirts arnt long enough and the rear bumper is different so it wont fit but im not completely sure about that so you will have to find that out,

cheers

sorry mate im not sure which colour it is, is there any way i could go about finding that out??

also im pretty sure that it is the genuine nismo kit and not the fake one, they were on the car when i bought them off a guy who imported the car from japan. is there any way to actually check??

Im pretty sure R34 only have 2 whites.. Pearl or CLoud White

open the bonnet and loook at the compliance plate. it says ur colour code

QM1 is the cloud white

if not then it should be Pearl then

u can tell if the bar is geunine or fibreglass by bending it or looking at it...

fibre glass are usually weak and fin... but there are some fibreglass kits that are hard as hell.

Hi,

Have you got any idea how much you want for the kit yet? I dont know what they are worth myself, but I am interested, as i have recently crashed my R34, and that is the same front end I am looking for. I only need the front bar, but i guess you dont want to split the package up.

Thanks

any idea if any ofthe parts fit the sedan 98 r34 or they different?

I have no doubt it would fit a 98 model. Judging from the pics, I have the exact same kit on my 98 model.

Question: Does anybody know the name of this kit?

I had this kit already fitted on my car when I imported it so I don't know much about the kit. I have the same front, sides & rear as pictured in 1st post. Also, how much would this kit have costed all up brand new?

I'm trying to get an online quote with GIO Car Insurance and under the "modifications" section it asks for Full Body Kit or Partial Body Kit and then the value. I have no idea what price to give. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

    • 95 is just a scam outright. 98 is the real "premium" with all the best detergents and other additive packages, and at least historically, used to be more dense also. 95 is just 91 bargain basement shit with a little extra octane rating. Of course, there's 91 and there's 91 also. I always (back in the 90s early 2000s) refused to put fuel in from supermarket related fuel chains on the basis that it was nasty half arsed shit imported from Indonesia. Nowadays, I suspect that there is little difference between the nasty half-arsed shit brought in by the "bargain" chains and the nasty half-arsed shit brought in by the big brands, given that most of it is coming from the same SEAsian refineries. Anyway - if there's still anything to that logic, then it would apply to 95 also. 98 is only made in decent refineries and, as I said, is usually the "premium" fuel, both in terms of octane rating and "use this because it's good for your engine because it's got the unicorn jizz in it!".
    • Yeah since those first 2 replies I actually went and put some 98 in it and tbf it's already doing much better than the 95 (which is weird and makes my inner tinfoil hat wearer think the 95 was a crap batch), getting 8ish around town. Again, wonder if it takes a while to stabilize if the fuel is changed a couple of times. I swear cars used to just either run "well" or "s**t* in my 20s, none of this fuel optimisation business haha
    • Any number of different ways. Have the coils draw sufficient current to provide contact wetting. Use different contacts in the switch, either by material or design, better suited to the low current drawn by a relay coil. Etc.
    • Hmm, how does the R34 manage to have headlight relays then without getting excessive carbon buildup on the headlight switch contacts?
    • Not R7R. Meant to type R&R, obviously enough.
