hey guys i have an r33 gts-t and want to disconnect the hicas. is it enough to just pull the relay out or would i need to get a locking bar as well.

I'll prob end up buying one anyway but just for now im wondering the removal of the relay will do.

yeh first few places i went didn't even know what hicas was....lol

I guess you could do it yourself, but will still end up driving it to suspension place to then pay full price for alignment,I got a company called Wholesale Suspension to do mine then align aswell. obviously

i had to pay for the fitment of the bar and removal of other parts,so they threw in the alignment for free

.What im saying is now they've done the job from start to finish so if i ever have any problems in that

department,its their problem.

Peace of mind is what i like.

yeah i didnt think it could be as easy as just pulling the relay.

im quite prepared to give it a go myself. ill get the bar and have a look and see how i go if it seems to hard ill get someone to do it.

thanks for the advice guys :ninja:

What is the overall benefit of removing HICAS? I recently bought a 32 GTR and I've only test driven it so far and didn't notice it. Does it cause any problems down the line?

EDIT: Read the Sticky. I'll change it somewhere down the line if it becomes a problem

i want to remove mine cuse its playing up. car feels totally different. so because i figure it doesnt really do much in everyday driving why have it connected if it just keeps playing up.

according to the Hicas diagnostics my steering angle sensor is screwed and this is a cheaper way of fixing the problem.
