Rb25det Series 1 And Series 2 Differences?

What are the mechanical differences between the series 1 and series 2 RB25DET?

I know the ignition system is different. I suspect the cam position sensor is different because of the cam shafts.

My second question is can I swap a series 2 engine in to a series 1 GTS-t

without major problems?

TPS, AFM, IGNITION COILS HAVE THE IGNITORS IN THEM INSTEAD OF SEPARATE., All of which are very easily swapped for series 1 gear. other than that, internally and externally the same motor. hope that helps,

engine swap is simple - just use the CAS, coils/ignitiion from the motor you need to run. rest just plugs in

but i just wanna drop the complete motor in as is as i know this motor is running a in top nic

i have a series one car and a series two motor about to go in i also have a full loom do i need to change the loom or if i bolt the series one loom up to the series two motor will it work

do i have to swap my coils over and cas

there is no difference from S1 to S2....just the problem is that some of the looms will need changing so you might as well use a s2 ecu......but i prefer the s1 motor as my motor is making 180 on 7psi
