hey guys as title states jsut wondering. also will it be spongey? like i'm not that fussed because i 'm not going to the track with them just want to know if they will run alright on 7" wide wheel?

forgot to ask also if 225/45R17 run alright on the front of a r32 gtst thats been lowered a tad?

yes, they will fit, unless u have a really high offset. depending on the tyre, they will feel "spongy" when u start pushing the car around, a tyre with a stronger side wall would be ur best bet if you dont want this, it will reduce sidewall movement.

I've had a good set of 225's on my 7" wide rims on the front of my R32 GTS-T and I would recommend you not to fit 225 tyres! drives ok and you will probably never notice anything bad but there is a lot of side wall flex (tyre rolling off the rim) and my front tyres have gone bald on the shoulders purely from this while the middle tread appears almost brand new! ( I have a great wheel alignment and tyre pressure is always spot on). 225 on 7" = poor handling performance and bad tyre wear! Go for a 205! you will barely notice the 2cm loss of width!

Id run a 215/45 R17, simply because it's a very common size, and can be bought very cheap.

There's also lot's available 2nd hand, and being more common, the Better quality tyres are cheaper.

how do u know this was the cause of the shoulder wear?
