It all depends on:

1. Condition and age of car

2. Amount of KM's

3. Manual or Triptronic

I would say around 16-20k for an auto and around 20 - 25k for manual.

I brought mine for 18.5k for a 2000 RS Four Prime Edition (Leather and electric seats, woodgrain interior).

What state are you in and are you going private or going to importers??

HEY GUYS JUST LIKE YOUR OPINON ON WHAT YOU THINK THE AVERAGE PRICE FOR A STAGEA SERIES 2 SHOULD BE.

CHEERRS

PS IM THINKIN OF BUYIN ONE!!

/CAPS

Youve started two threads with the same question??????? Again, you can get a series two for $12k if you shop hard enough, but its like your GT forester, or any other car - youll generally get what you pay for. Manuals are rare, hence more expensive. Black manuals are like jumping into a ford falcon taxi in the city and it being a manual - Generally does not happen. PS i know of ONE and its for sale.

PS have a look on carsales, ebay, tradingpost and so on, thats the only way to get the answer to what youre after. average price = add all the prices of stageas you find into one large number, then divide by the number of stageas. That number is the average price. Have a read through the features on offer for different dollar amounts. Go through the private whole cars for sale section on this forum - some of the nicest cars are on here, and a few are for sale.

Have a read through the buyers guide to the nissan stagea (shouldve been the first place you looked). It'll be maybe 5 or 6 topics above this one.

Now get into the double unicorn chat thread and introduce urself!

another option if you dont want to save a few more bucks but have to wait more is get it imported.

Gernally a 16-18k priced car in AUS with rego ( series 2) would cost you around 12-13k imported.

remember you will need tyres + rego on that ( so thats about 1k there for some okish tyres and 6 months rego)

so the car has cost you 13-14k, but for waiting 2-3 months you just saved yourself about 3-4k.

Just remember importing a car is like doing it here, get check after check after check on the car.

Then when you think its ok.. check it again.

most importers offer a service like this... costs about 25,000 yen and you get over 50+ pics of the car and a mechanical test.

Ive found importing to be cheaper also, definitely another option. Have a look on the j-spec website, greg, and also go to www.mytrading.org and read through that site. Much to be gained.

Again - i cant stress enough - have a look at the stageas for sale on here. The good thing is that all the stagea drivers currently selling their cars on this forum genuinely love and look after their cars - and will miss them when theyre gone!

yeah, i was a bit sad when i saw someone else driving away with my skyline.

And i told him that he should join up to this forum too.

So bobby has a point, i did look here first, but there was nothing i wanted for the price range / k's etc.

well i imported my series 2 just over 12 months ago for $11400.00 in my drive thats triptronic rs4 stock as a rock with genwine klms at 120,000not had a prob with her yet was a prety clean example too .

I had a Forester. 120k. 6 yes SIX sets rear wheel bearings, $3000 for A/t coil paks et effen cetra.

Previous to my S1 I sent my much loved RMR30 to the tip. Only did 600k, on the original wheel bearings.

I bought an R30 as arun about. Its only done 380K. Should last another 10 years.

Nissan build quality into there vehicles. In the Stagea Forum there are few if any major problems owners have. The Forum

is akin to a Service Dept, it has to be caus we dont have factory warranty.

If you look at overseas Forester Forums, they are awash with unhappy, disgruntled, dissatisfied users.

I'm like Mike. Bought at 90k, now done 130k. No probs, except the bloody battery karked it. Oh, and a tie rod end.
