1996 WRX STI turbo = TD05

which = max of about 200awkw on the 2L at around 19psi.

it's worth about $400.

Tell your "mate" to sell it and get something else.

So far its a no but he insists it will give him alot of response and torque... he likes to show off by putting his foot down and watching our heads snap back into the headrest..... his words not mine LOL.

well tell ur mate to sell the car and by a Getz/Yaris. something he cant kill people with.

oh and that turbo might make 200rwkw by about 2,000rpm, but by 5,000rpm it will make about 50kw.

TD05 is the standard WRX turbo - not the STI model.

TD04 is the standard wrx turbo

they came out with a range of different turbs. TD04L, TD04 and TD05. The earlier rexies (I think) had the td05 then they put in the td04L so it was more responsive (less lag). I dont know if the sti ever had the td05...but Im pretty sure they usually use the vf series..
