I was wondering what all needed to be done to an rb26dett to get the car into the 11 second range? Currently done to the car is exhaust, intake, boost controller, clutch.I know i will need to upgrade the fuel system and get a standalone. But are the stock turbos able to get an r32 in to the mid 11's????

Also what transmission upgrade do you guys recommened for a person with not alot of money to throw towards a fully built tranny like a hollenger or something along that line.

If you believe Autospeed, you just need to do the exhaust and ECU.

If you don't have a lot of money to spend on the gearbox, then the factory one is more than adequate. It will handle 11 second quarters easily.

the stock turbos might see you to high elevens but youd have to have a pretty perfect run to see much lower than that. See the stockies are only safely good for 250rwkw, i'd say to have a repeatable mid eleven 1/4 youd need aroun 280-300rwkw. A set of low mount ball bearing t28 or hks 2530's or similar and an upgraded fuel system should be all you need. You could stay with stock ecu and just reprogram it but its a bandaid and aftermarket solution is a better option. Tranny if treated nice can cope with high tens. So mid elevens are safe once again if you are a little bit gentle.

I used 34 turbo's before but the N1 Spec. (Totally different from just the 34 ones). At only 0.9bar i could get flat 12's and crack into the high 11's no probls.

Getting a quick car is one thing... getting it to last is another...

To prove my point.. what i must tell u is that with that turbo i had bigger injectors, fuel pump, full manifold, cam adjusters and much larger cams etc........

oh to answer ure question, the stock turbo MAY get it into the 11's with more than 1.2 bar of boost... but not for long... especially since its an R32 due to the age... Anymore than 1 bar for long periods are just a blown turbo waiting to happen...

Depends on what the car is used for.

If its used for just the street plotting around and the every now and again Traffic Light Grand Prix it will last for quite a while where as if you take it to the track.. Hell it could even go running stock boost. Depends on your luck.

But For the age of the car what do you expect.

Its doing extremely well to crack low 12's high 11's for a 10+yr old car.

Yes, I've read that with the stock turbos, exhaust, air filter, more boost, cams and stock internals...you can give around 250rwkw and run high 11s. But to run lower 11s you'll need upgraded internals and turbos...etc which starts to get real costly. Then for 10s I expect you'd probably need to change the gearbox soon, and that is going to be the real killer.
