Hi there, just wonder whether anyone knows just how strong R32 GTS-t CV's/axles are? My RB25 in my 32 will make at least 350rwkw - I have an RB25 5 speed with PAR gearset (rated at 1000hp) plus Exedy twin plate clutch plus custom 1-piece tailshaft with massive uni's plus a Kaaz 2-way LSD - so the weakest part will be the CV's/axles. The car will be dragged with 26inch full slicks. Has anyone had these parts fail and does anyone know what they can handle?

I know abobob has killed a set of r34gtt cv's with only 270odd rwkw (with semis i believe) I'd suggest their life span will be measured in seconds in your car.

That is; the second you drop the clutch is the second they explode.

After (attempting) to race my 32 @ Jamboree with just under 500rwhp (365rwkw), I now have a fair dinkum answer to my above question. It went something like this: 1st run - cleaned snapped both cv shafts on the launch with MT Street Radials, 2nd run (after replacing both shafts with spares) - cleaned snapped both cv shafts again and twisted both stub axles (half shafts) ON STREET TYRES IN 2ND GEAR!! Dammit! So, anyone out there with similiar power/torque/driveline be aware - this will happen to you!
