Gearbox Shops In Perth

By the sounds of it one of the bearings in my gearbox has gone blahhh. Apologies for using such a technical term, but there it is. Car is a 94 GT-R.

Can anyone recommend a workshop? A transmission shop, that is, not a general workshop.

Xspeed send there gearboxes out to a specialist, they did Gav Beer's gearbox, which has an OS Gearset, I could find out there details if you'd like ?

Well yeah if you could. The car is in Bunbury & if it needs fettling it is a case of gearbox out & send it to Perth.

At this stage I am hoping against all rational thought that it is a tailshaft problem. But in any case I don't fancy a drive to Perth with the thing going blah crunch crunch wokka wokka thump.

Took it to Bunbury Transmission & Drivetrain Specialists.

They declined to work on the car because of my attitude.

Just buy another box it will be cheaper. Most places will charge around $1000 to open, replace the bearings and assemble.

If you must get it rebuilt then mandurah automatics have built them in the past or you could take it up to floody in perth as he does most of the ppg conversions for these boxes.

Send it to LF,There Gearbox guy is very good and fair priced.

Don't bother rebuilding a stock one will cost you a arm and a leg, by a second hand one for 1k

nigel at mandurah automatics. otherwise give allfast torque converters a call and talk to simon.

mate ended up paying nearly as much for one new of just jap from a gearbox place..

Just jap offer them for 3.5k and need some extra parts, maybe try there
