that my silly co forum user is a nismo JGTC car lol

its a racing car from Nismo

yeh well i really dont know much about the r35 or never seen one in real life

so im just asking do u know any links about the specs on this car? in comparrison to the factory one

It's not running the GTR engine..............sorry if that disappoints you

it's running the VK(or Q?)45DE so no turbo

there's a gazillion bits of info on google. Try Nismo Super GT or somethinga long the line

yeh i know they not using a rb26 the have some new enginge v6 now no more straight 6

but there still using twin turbo i think

lol. current GTR engine is not an RB26 mate. it's a VR38DETT. lingeringsouls point is that they are using something else all together. I can't remember exactly what it is but I believe is a non-turbo V8 of come kind. mate it's a GTR it has very little relevance to a road going R35 GTR. about the only thing they share is basic shape and the roof.

its actually using the current 4.5L V8 that they uses in the 350Z JGTC cars last season.

Nismo's reasoning being that there hasn't been enough time to properly develop racing parts for the VR38DETT.

well since all gt500 motors run restrictors, why not run the biggest na motor you can? any turbo motor's strength is top end and maybe mid range in small turbs. Whereas big cube motor can make power nice and low

its obvious ui guys dont know anything about a race V8... cam selection on an NA motor makes them very yukky down low.

ever seen a drag car take off @ 2000rpm??? more like 8000rpm.. theres nothing down low.

A smaller capacity engine with a tiny turbo makes more torque down low than a big highly modified V8. geez and a stock 6lt ls2 makes like 550nm @ over 4000rpm.. thats pretty fkn high for such a big motor. and thats not even modified.

Plus JGTC turbocharged cars arent designed to make power uptop.. instead they make shitloads of torque from low to mid for corner exit speeds :(

wow the inlets are really restricted big time, love to see what she would make with a free flowing set up

bumblebee I don't know anything about the rev range of the restricted v8s in super GT.

But I do know the restricted rb26s in improved production make peak power below 5000 rpm. No reason I can see that the v8s would be different - once you have a restrictor low down torque is by far the most important thing. (and lots of gears to change up to lol)

theres a big difference. The main difference is that in Improved production engine mods are minimal.

I had an RX7 that i wanted to enter into improved production, but due to the fact that i had gone with a bridgeport turbo engine i wasnt allowed to enter. I wasnt allowed to modifed the engine in anyway due to having a turbo.

Same goes with all improved production cars. If u look at most cars, theyre are just improved. Like exhaust mods, computer, suspension mods, brakes, CAIs, And MAYBE turbo mods. But i dont think ur allowed to change those either, unless u run something like N1 turbos which are still factory turbos.

As for a full blown race car like a JGTC its different. Most of theyre torque is made from mid to top due to its restrictors. But they still have fairly radical cam durations and lift. Which is way non idle lower than 1500rpm :D

sorry but that is not correct. you can run bridgeport (i assume) but since it has a turbo you need to run a restrictor. the trick in IP is that peripheral ports (non-turbo) are allowed whithout restrictors. but I am not that familiar with rotory IP rules.

gtrs make more sense to me. In IP you can run any 6 cylinder nissan block (eg rb30) with any head (eg rb26) and any single or double turbo....but if you put a turbo on you have to run restrictors. Or you can run non turbos (including the above combo) without restrictors
