and what turbo is it?

5psi under 4000 in 1st and 2nd gear. then 7spi.

turbos is same as a r33 gtst series 2 (ie plastic front wheel and ceramic rear) nice early spoolup but no good for more than 12psi.

BTW if you do have standard boost check out the thread in the DIY section about running in high boost all the time. costs a couple of c to do and makes a noticeable difference

nar its not mine its a customers car and he wants to up the boost but the turbo is on its way out so i was just seeing how much boost it was running to see if it'll last the weekend and get the turbo fixed on monday

Same applies for the S2. I recommend doing the Boost Solenoid Trick so it boost at 7psi all the time rather then the 2 stage boost, or get yourself a Turbotech Manual Boost Controller and a Boost Gauge installed and run 10psi all the time. DO NOT GO OVER 14psi or you can say bye bye to your turbo.

This is with a drain-pipe out the back, a pasta strainer on the intake and a bar fridge behind the front bar of course?

lol yes, no, no. but it does reallty help. (and none of that auto junk either). But we both know yours makes more peak power than mine.

at least until I can rev it over 4500 at last (needs a proper tune). My peak power was 111awkw lol. midrange is swoit though.

Yeah I did the 'ground the solenoid' mod, works well and tends to surprise people in traffic when the boost comes on.

Makes for a perfectly flat boost line on the chart...

yeah stagea ECU seems to be really intolerant of extra airflow. I had to fit an HKS fuel cut defender just to stop it going to shit with very mild boost. really needs a PFC

I agree, FCD's and other little things like that are really only a band-aid solution.

Going to be a long time before I can afford a PFC.

Xmetal did you have any other mods when you did this dyno run (intake/exhaust?) And I don't know much about tuning but is that jump to 14.5:1 just above 120k's there what they call R&R (rich & retard?)

Speed cut made it go off the chart like that.

That dyno reading was done with only a 2.5" catback and grounded solenoid mod.

Not too sure. I believe it's the same as the R34 gtst's though. Are they the same as the R33 S1's?
