I have to do an oil change very soon, would i be able to install this while the oil is in the engine or would it leak to much? Is is better to do it when engine oil is drained?

Nah you could do it while the engine is full of oil. Just let it sit for 1-2 hours so its all in the sump and you will be fine

The sandwich plate is probably fine you just need the thread on the bronze adapter to be longer/deeper. A fittings shop like enzed might be able to match something up that will work for you but I wouldnt bet on it.

But to be safe I would just get a trust/grex kit. Just installed one the other day on my 25 and cannot fault it.

+1 for this kit. i got one second hand really cheap off ebay but otehr than the lines being slightly too long it all worked out well. Also had to get some 90Degree bends as the "kit" didnt come with them. A 45 or 30 would be handy for the install as its a prick of a spot. So where did everybody mount their cooler?
