Autometer Oil Pressure Gauge Question

Just wondering if anyone has had problems with oil leaks from the nylon hose that come with the gauge. My auto electrician warned me against them as they can leak. I just bought one as my oem one is rooted. So anyone had any problems from them?

Hopefully you don't get defected for it coz you're not supposed to have mechanical gauges in the cabin

I know the fuel gauges are not allowed in cabin but didnt know about oil gauges. I can put it in the engine bay but thought it would be a bitch to keep an eye on especially when the standard one give constant mixed readings. I dont really want to pull over every time my oem gauge reads 0 and check under the bonnet.

its a really bad idea mate, mechanical oil pressure gauge is asking for trouble. ditch it and run an electric one instead.

any issue with that line all the way from the motor to the gauge will kill your motor quick smart

Not to mention the 100 degree oil that would be dripping on your shines if something did go wrong.

Sell you mechanical one to some other stooge and get an electric guage and sender.

Easy as to install and they are very accurate.
