Scooby
I've currently got Nissan Brembos F and R on a 32 GTR, with the mcyl from the original Sumitomo brakes, and want to fit 355mm front rotors with F50 calipers on the front. Been speaking with some brake people in the US and they reckon it could be a less than ideal situation due to F to R imbalance ie 355 vs 300, and that pedal feel could be compromised due to a mismatched mcyl. I understand the relationship between piston size, mcyl bore and pedal feel so I know where they're coming from, but I can think of examples ie Brembo and AP that don't seem to require bigger a bigger mcyl - although that doesn't mean that it's a perfect solution either; race cars with serious brakes don't generally run around with a stock mcyl. Car is street driven and sees occasional track days on street tyres. Anyone have experience with this or a similar set up? Cheers, thanks in advance. ferni
I'm running 365mm 6pot Alcons up front with standard Brembo rears at the moment, no problems on street or on the track.
