Didn't we know that? so u got to 12 points - congrats :P

Wait to u get the turbs ambz.. u can lose it all over again...hehe

Having the car off the road is a good excuse to play with it though.. my brother lost his license for 6 months so i just took his car :P he couldn't really give me any reasonable comeback for "what do you need it for - you can't drive it for 6 months" *yoink* :P hehe

LOLLLL

thanks guys

i think im like negative 4 points or something..

not my fault i was born with a leaded foot

hehe

but yeah ur right gordy

gives me time to play with the car

fix it up then sell it maybe.. im hanging for an s14 but the prospect of buying a house is alot more exciting..

hehe decisions decisions

i gotta hand my license in.. do u guys know how it all works.. do i have to pick it up form them once the suspension is over or do i have to get another one??

Yup .. house u can play with almost as much as with a car :P and then later on u can use it to buy better and faster cars and maybe even worm ur way out of speeding altogether :P

You've finished on your p's haven't you?? With my brother, he had to send it in and they cut it up.. In 6 months he has to go for his license all again. I don't think its the same with reaching 12 points when you're on a full license, its just like suspended.

bad luck, were u doing 140 in a 100 or 80 zone??

i got my court case coming up in a few months over the same issues.

and fark going and landing in your license to them, let the cops come find u and take it off u.

jeeze guys, should be more careful

i know its hard NOT to speed sometimes, but doin 140+...thats a lil overboard

on the topic of speeding though, has anyone seen the massive new speeding billboards up on the ring road or something? meh, in my opinion its bad advertising, just wondering if anyone else saw

turbo drivers should have 24 points I think :) my car can stop from 140 in xxx seconds whereas my old mans' car i was driving would struggle to stop from 70km/hr in that same time. It was like such a massive difference in stopping distance - it felts heaps less safe than my skyline. Anyway, i'm tired of wingeing about speed laws and the VIC obsession with it..

oh well, bad luck ambz, but i am sure u can manage with that entourage of guys at your door all the time :) get a roster happening and you'll be set :)

hehe thats coolm they screwed up with me aswell... In the first week i got my license i was caught doing 120 in a 60 zone, he got me at 95km/h on the radar dropped to 90 and gave me 1 month....then after 2 months i got a letter from vic roads saying that the suspension period was from January 14 to February 13.. I recieved the letter from vic roads on February 10 saying that i have to hand my license in the coming 2 weeks..?..??? wtf what for i never handed it in and never got a letter again...Ohh i did get 1 which was a passenger restriction that i cant carry more than 1 more passenger while driving...:)

    • It's sodium citrate, I misspoke earlier. It's a citrate buffer solution. And yes, depending on how thin the metal in the tank is this may or may not be a wise decision but if it's just mild rust it should clean off and it should be fine.
    • Price seems pretty good to me. Also seems a hell of a lot cheaper then buying another vehicle that only ever gets used for towing.  I'm a long way from you mate, I'm a couple of hours out of Brizzy.
    • New [400]Z, they're available in manual and you don't have to worry about parts scarcity.
    • Just planning to have the wiring neat and hide as much as possible.
    • The sodium acetate, mixed with citric acid, doesn't actually buffer each other. Interestingly though, if you used Sodium Acetate, and acetic acid, THAT becomes a buffer solution. Additionally, a weak acid that can attack a metal, is still a weak acid that can attack a metal. If you don't neutralise it, and wash it off, it's going to be able to keep attacking. It works the same way when battery acid dries, get that stuff somewhere, and then it gets wet, and off it goes again breaking things down. There's a reason why people prefer a weak acid, and it's because they want TIME to be able to be on their side. IE, DIY guys are happy to leave some mild steel in vinegar for 24 hours to get mill scale off. However, if you want to do it chemically in industry, you grab the muriatic acid. If you want to do it quicker at home, go for the acetic acid if you don't want muriatic around. At the end of the day, look at the above thumbnail, as it proves what I said in the earlier post, you can clean that fuel tank up all you want with the solution, but the rust that has now been removed was once the metal of the fuel tank. So how thin in spots is your fuel tank getting? If the magazine on the left, is the actual same magazine as on the right, you'll notice it even introduces more holes... Well, rust removal in general actually does that. The fuel tank isn't very thick. So, I'll state again, look to replace the tank, replace the fuel hanger, and pump, work out how the rust and shit is making it past the fuel filter, and getting into the injectors. That is the real problem. If the fuel filter were doing its job, the injectors wouldn't be blocked.
