I have just recently purchased and installed a profec B-spec II boost controller and a defi boost gauge in my R33. I took it out for a bit of a tune the other night and found i was hitting 1 - 1.1 bar quite comfortably, i didnt push it any further as i wasnt sure quite how much the stock turbo would handle, but it got me wondering wat is the genrally excepted 'do not cross' line?

I also found that i was occasionally missing, not often, just sometimes. I was thinking this mean my spark plugs may need to be re-gapped?

Anyone with the same controller (im sure there are lots of you), feedback would be much appreciated, including your settings, Gain, Set Gain, boost pressure etc, as i am still trying to get mine tuned just right. cheers:)

Thats running too much boost on stock turbo - it won't last long

12 - 13psi (0.8 bar) max on a stock turbo and that would be recommended with a tune

The cutting out your getting is probably fuel cut - which means your car is leaning out

= blown motor + blown turbo

Hi.

I notice you are new to the forum.

What you'll find is a lot of general and basic questions have been answered a few times before :whistling:

The stock turbo and mis-firing ones are probably some of the most common.

Please read the FI Guide (sticky thread in this section) and have a go at the search button.

Cheers
