Evo Wagon Vs R35

Heres a great little video of a stock evo wagon trying to keep up with an R35 at FSW.

I thought the evo did a great job trying to keep up although there was plenty of traffic. Some of the "traffic" looked pretty nice as well.

That white 34 gave it a run for its money.

The Evo was awesome. Although the tyres weren't too happy after a couple of laps.

My god those GTR's were phenomenal along the straight- "bye bye!!"

when it got onto the main straight and I saw just take off down the track, it was seriously a "holy shit" moment...............

i was surprised when the 350 zed just booked it down the straight past the evo and then WHAM, the evo dived right back in under brakes.

It was really keeping up through the corners but got minced down the straights...

All this AWD Japanese trickery is making me dizzy.

What surprised me the most is that the Evo wagon was able to "stay in touch" even though some would argue it was because of traffic.

I have to admit, the evo driver was working hard to keep up. No doubt the GTR would romp away with a similar effort. Still...if i saw that 35 id book the crap out of it to try and keep up.

awesome! loved the white 34R and the evo was pretty awesome too! for stock it pushed it hard! and cornered even harder! me thinks the GTR was puppieing it a little!

Yeah, i agree. You can tell that the GTR slowed down to let the Evo catch up. Looked at how the GTR just pulled away from the Evo on the straight until it was out of sight, and when the Evo reaches the corner at the end of the straight - the GTR was right there. WTF??? Also, the way that Evo passed the 34 GTR and other cars was a bit too easy in my opinion. Either the Evo driver was very good, or the other drivers were pretty crap. I think this whole video of the GTR and Evo is just a set up.

ahah, thats no ordinary "wagon". its the first evo in wagon form to come out of japan. Its almost exactly the same as the evo 9 but can carry 4 adults, the dogs and golf bags in the boot.. and almost no extra weight has been added to the chassis. i liiike velly maaach.
