Biggest Speakers To Fit R32 Doors And Parcel Shelf

i knwo theres 6" in the front and 6.5" at the back of a 32 but just wondering if we can fit anything bigger? i think 6.5" in the rear is big enough but i wanna fit some 6x9s in the doors without having to cut anything. can it be done? can u stic ka spacer in there and mount the 6x9 in there or isn't there enough room? let me know as i just want as much bass as i can without amping or subs. thanks people

remake the panel and anything is possible.

Just make sure they are not too deep - I fitted some 6.5" speakers that were a pain because the magnet was too big - got there in the end tho

^ yeap thats it, make sure theyre not deep magnets and 6x9 will fit perfectly

im trying to find a 6x9 with a shallow magnet on the back so i can fit it but atm i have 6" and it sounds shiet.

6" splits - new panel modded to fit 6" driver.

rear 6x9 - new rear shelf.

Since we are on the subject, what is involved in getting the parcel shelf out? Ive had a quick look there and it seems like a very tight area to work in.

Shove a crowbar under the rear seats.

Pry up to pop them out, pull out the seats.

Then there will be two bolts for the back rest of the rear seats.

Unbolt them, and slide the back rest up off the hooks supporting the back rest.

After that will be shelf, where you can easily slide off

perhaps, but its 15year old cardboard plank pretending to be a parcelshelf.

Thicker parcel shelf will create a better noise; cheap and effective

i've got a custom made 20mm wood parcel shelf supporting 2x 8" subs. sounds alot better than my old setup with 12" pioneer sub in the boot.

very clear, doesn't rattle.. and the best thing: you can't hear anything from outside the car, but inside the car it's like a nightclub.
