get the new Fuel pump and Boost controller first then remap?

if i get new injectors, fuel rail and FPR will i need another remap?

bigger turbo another remap?

is it best to wait till i have all mods on then map? or do i only need to map some mods?

if you want to save money then get the remap at the end of al your mods, DONT PUNCH THE F*** OUT OF YOUR CAR WITH MODS THAT ARE NOT TUNED FOR THE CAR

if you want to have maximum power through all the stages of your modding, and dont mind spending a s*** load of cash, then get re mapped whenever the hell you want.

yeah good advise from the boys above, buy all your bolt-ons first then book it into someone like Shaun at Boostworks who can bolt it all on and tune at the same time.

The diiference you'll feel with the car b4 and after will blow your mind.

Speak to Shaun about what sort of bolt-ons to buy as well if you're not sure.

well said sled thats my plan of attack anyway....and i think thats the best way and the difference you will feel after a shitload of mods going on at once would be amazing...can you imaginge going from 150-180 odd rwkw to something like 280rwkw would be nice

:P

Get it tuned at each stage, or put all bolt ons at once and tune it. Anything else is asking for trouble.

I'm going to take the Stagea out to Mallala for a benchmark time, then dynoed for a before-and-after comparison.

Then I'm fitting my intercooler kit, turbo etc etc and do it all again to see/feel the changes.

:)

if you have a safc you can do step by step tuning as you fit stuff

thats what Ive done for over 2yrs now

but Ive been hoarding my last lot of mods, ready for the remap at speed labs

going to arrange it soon.

thing is, after a remap, no point in adding extra stuff like larger turbo, 'cause the remap will be worthless

you can run a larger turbo, z32 afm, fpr, etc etc etc etc etc, on a safc, get good power and ok fuel economy.

Ive got larger injectors but wont put them in until remap time.

I was going to use a R34 GTT PowerFC but decided not to. for sale for $1200 firm. works a1

yeah that is the best feeling but can also be dangerous for someone young & inexperienced.

can you imagine going from a 13 or 14 sec car (which is pretty quick anyway) to a 10 or 11 sec car in a couple of days?!

thats what i was thinking for joel, i reckon you should get you pump and elec controller put in then get her remapped, it would be a while before you go bigger turbs, injectors. afm ect ect i think it would be better for you to go stage to stage, as even with these slight mods it will ne a dramatic change with the way the car drives

Um, that's pretty much what SLED said to do...

Thats why I said

You've been here 13 months and thats your 8th post? :laughing-smiley-014:

i think ill get fuel pump then map, by my turbo injectors etc. sit em in my room until i have more cash for another remap.

krishy you will need to buy a 2nd hand RB20 ecu to get remapped and hooked up to your car. Check the SAU classified thread, should only cost $100 or so.

thx for the input guys :D

i have been told that you cannot retune/ remap a r33 ecu so how should i go about getting mine done....any cheaper way of doing it apart from a PFC

You heard wrong. It can be done. Just costs 3 times as much as a standard remap. RB20 ECU can also be used. So can Z32 I believe... not 100% on that. Ring Jeff @ The Speed Lab, or Shaun @ Boostworx and get some advice from them. They'd know better than anyone and wont just try to get you to spend cash, actually tell you what your best option would be.

what coin for the fpr bitch tits? :domokun:

$180. Brand new. FPR alone here in AUS is that price. You get nissan adaptor with it ($50). Buy it now ya poof. I gots 3 sets of wheels to pay for LOL Then again Danny I might do you super special secret squirrel deals...

    • He obviously had his reason for flipping you off. I wonder what it was...
    • Thats why I stay far, far away from Eastwood. only go there if I wanna eat Korean food
    • I have to agree like, yesterday, I was driving down the warringah freeway towards the bridge when this jackass driving a beaten up Honda civic cut me off so suddenly it made me almost yank the wheel to avoid him hitting my car. Honestly and he had the NERVE to flip me off (or some other gesture Idk). Im a calm guy, but really some people just dont deserve to have a license, let alone be allowed to drive on densely populated roads/highways. If youre gonna cut through lanes at least use the damn turn signal
    • HPA do an interesting video on tuning, and Adrian shows on the dyno, moving from 10:1 to 12:1 (And I think even 13:1) and the power moves SFA. However, a couple of degrees of timing has a HUGE impact. Exhaust side of things will more be the length of the exhaust and how many bends and turns you have. The straighter you can keep it, the better. By a lot. Oh, and getting the diameter right. Bigger isn't always better. Going to big can actually lose you power.
    • I have to say, most people I see on the road fit the bill of atrocious drivers. Whether they be cowboys in their dual cabs, bogans in the Commodores, or the soccer mums. Pretty much most people on the road put zero freaking thought into driving. Barely look further up the road then the end of their bonnet, and have never even thought about how catastrophically wrong shit can go, by doing what they all deem as normal driving. Especially their late braking, racing to stopped lights, and sitting half a foot off the bumper of the car in front at 110km/h. Wanna know what's even better? By the time their kids get to be old enough to learn to drive, they've already got in the back of their brain what is normal driving, how annoyed you're allowed to get at people etc, and then their parents who actually have zero freaking skill at driving (Even though they constantly say "I've been driving for 20 years and never had an accident!") teach the little twerps how to drive, or should I say, how to make a car move. Literally watched a parent teach their L Plater, on a 4 lane freeway, that you just slam the brakes on, and push your way over, even with a B Double bearing down on you, and that's how you should drive, rather then, just keep going to the next exit. Same shit happens all the time for side streets etc, watching numpties pull dumb shit turns pushing across 3 lanes of traffic, rather than just go up the road another 30 seconds, and take the next turn that'll get you to the same location... Oh, and the damn right lane bandits. Or the retards driving along with their headphones in, and can't hear the ambulance or fire truck right up their ass about to run them over...   Pretty much, people drive on the road, like ego centric f**ks, and don't actually think how dumb shit their driving is, how it could easily kill them or someone else in a split second, or at the very least, how they're driving is contributing to all the shit they're bitching about on the road, like shitty congestion!
