Is My Drivers Side Door Mirror Stuffed?

Hi all, I'm having some issues with my 1997 r33 drivers side mirror, when i press the button to close mirror in it does close but when I press the button to open them back up the drivers side mirror wont open but the passenger mirror opens fine.

Anyone know what the problem could be? I assume its stuffed in someway with the motor inside, it does however open manually if i force it open.

I have been using the button lots lately to close the mirrors inward when I park the car in shopping centers etc so someone wont knock it or break the mirror sticking out.

Also anyone know how much those mirrors cost second hand at wreckers or anything in case it cannot be fixed? Will it be hard to fix? thanks

Do some investigation instead of forkin out for a new one straight away

could be a problem with the little gears inside.
