Yes it is $1,500 for T3 flange please read the post i replied. It was stated clearly.

and if you read my post, you can see clearly why i re-stated what i was asking. Been mis-quoted on 2 different occasions, different sellers. here is an example of one;

"

ME:

garrett gt3071r, 0.63 exhaust housing, external gate, 4-bolt pattern t3 rear housing

Seller:

............Hi $1,625.00 delivered

Another Person:

Are you 100% sure that is with the T3 housing as the off the shelf GT3071R is 0.64 AR T25/28 style (integral wastegate)

Seller:

.............Thank you for bringing that to my attention, you are absolutely correct , I have now amended my post to gee-180

ME:

wow that is cheap for that spec turbo, hard to get in aus..i will let you know

Seller:

...........Yes, you are correct, it is too cheap. I made an error for which I apologize. The price delivered for your Spec is - AUD$2,370.00

"

don't take offence, but when the price jumps up by $745 on one occasion and $650 on the other, i tried to make sure it didn't happen the 3rd time i just had to make sure.

but if what you are saying is correct for that price and my exact spec, i will be interested in a few days.

thanks

Hi Mate

I am interested in buying a set of the 2860 -5 turbos for my gtr, but I did a serch for the distributor that you named in your first post and it come up with nothing. I searched using both google and www.turbobygarrett.com website.

I dont want to sound rude but I want to make sure that this distributor is legit.

Hi, if you are afraid this is not legit, u can try to PM Cooper who is one of the buyers for the turbo. He has already received the turbos.

Sloutch, I don't mean any disrespect I just want ot make sure that all is above board before I go spending 2 grand.

Can you post a website for the distributor?

Its ok mate...disrespect him all you want...he's used to it...

Bought a set of these for my mate. Very good service from sloutch and the US seller :D They took around 10 days to come, from order to delivery.

Thanks very much for the group buy mate, my friend is stoked at saving over $500 compared to the cheapest Aus Distributor.

I can vouch (sp) for sloutch and his distributor (PSI Supply) (check my sig  ). Quick communication from both parties and were sent quickly. I have just got my car back from having these turbos installed aswell and have no problems. This group buy is 100% legit and people will not get screwed over plus its an awesome saving :)

Still waiting for his write- back :(

Sheng,

Sorry for the late reply. I'm talking with my supplier at the moment. I'll get back to you as soon as i can.

Cheers

Cooper : Hope you're enjoying your new turbos now. :).

Tommo: Hey, tell your mate i'll come up to NSW and he can use that $500 i saved him to give me a treat!! :D

The warranty is with Garret so if there's any problems you can bring it to the garret dealer and use the warranty.

No we don't supply the line kits, you have to purchase them yourself.

There is no minimum or maximum number of people to start ordering in this buy. There's already more than 10 customers from SAU. If i'm not wrong, nobody on SAU or in Australia can beat that price.

keen as for a set of GT2860r's, just need to talk it over with my mechanic this week to work out if i need -5 or -7, i'll hopfully PM you this week to work out paying for a set, to good a deal to pass on.

    • So, when are you trying the new GR86 or BRZ?
    • Uncle Duncan Yeap, FI Interchiller  Works well, normal IAT's cruising with the WTA only went from 50°c+ to 25-30°c with the interchiller  Before, when on it hard, the IAT would see 80-90°c, now, the highest has been was around 38°c IIRC IAT is measured under the blower hat I recommend it for the street or strip where your only on it hard for 10 or so seconds, but it wouldn't be efficient for sustained track use as it would heat soak from the AC turning off or whatever it does during WOT to protect the compressor It really needs the AC running for it to not heat soak and keep the WTA coolant chilled My WTA coolant temps when just cruising is around 2°c
    • Hey Mark...sorry to interrupt your career change to hair dressing... but...did you ever fit the interchiller to the commodore, and if so how was it? And, who made it?
    • I've been pondering this, I really enjoy the convertible thing, for me, it's like riding a motorbike, without all the issue of riding a motorbike, mainly, my old sore arthritic joints getting beaten up, and, being able to do it in shorts and a T-shirt and not needing a helmet and all the other gear required, especially like wearing jackets and pants in the summer, or needing 6 layers of cloths in the winter, or not having wet weather gear handy when your 100km away from home on the bike when it decides to start raining As for the hard top and its Coupe look, whilst I do lose all that open top feeling that I really enjoy, from my experience with the NB with a detachable hard top, the cabin is a much nicer place to be, the difference in noise for one, a hard top quietens down the interior, alot, with the soft top up or down it's pretty noisy, which, after 5 or so hours, can get tiring But, as you stated, the detachable hard top totally changes the look of the car, in a really good way, and for me, the look of a detachable hard top is so much better than the PRHT which looks more like a after thought with its weird bulbous rear roof line For me, the minimal effort of putting in on, or storing it after removing it, is well worth the time and effort for the look alone And yes, I'm sure the next owner will be grateful for it as well.......
