Haven't got my digital at this time, no pics of the roo, but if l get it back before the car goes to the shop l'll take some pics. It doesn't look that bad though, pushed the bar back to the bonnet mechanism, tore both mounts off the headlights both sides, busted the grill and small dent on the l/h side of the bonnet.$550 ea for headlights, $860 for a bar, not sure bout the grill and one parker/indicator..

Wont be long b4 its back on the road, all parts are available which is good.....

Plenty of spare rooooooos

My uncle live in the blue mountains. He current has a big number written on his licence. It states how many roos has hit.

He is current at 74......

Owns a massive 4wd with stupid bull bars on it.

I usec to live in western QLD where roos are as common as muck. Dangerous things, they jump just before you hit them so that they go through the windscreen and land with their feet at your head height. They realise they are stuck so they kick to get out. I think you get the picture but lets just say that a lot ppl die on country roads from that sort of thing.

uck!

Sounds like the damage wasn't as bad as I would expect from a roo, guess you weren't going that quick at the time. (I've been a bit worried about them, every time I leave the family property I have to dodge at least 200-300 roos after the front gate!)

I'm more worried about the bloody wombats! You can hit them without even seeing it!

But if a roo ever gets through the windscreen after being hit - GET OUT OF THE CAR! The burns from sliding along the bitumen at 100-120km/h are actually much better than the cuts you receive from 2 inch roo claws thrashing about!

Oh, and did anyone read about the bus driver in NSW that got sacked cos' he didn't swerve for some ducklings, putting his passengers lives above the animals??? I hope the bus company gets sued...
