Just a small update,

Paul has the rods,pistons,crank and balancer back from balancing. So assembly has started.

Rocker covers are getting painted Bayside Blue,same colour as the 34 GTRs

Paul has the rods,pistons,crank and balancer back from balancing. So assembly has started.

Rocker covers are getting painted Bayside Blue,same colour as the 34 GTRs

Block washed out and welsh plugs installed. Main cap studs installed, main bearing caps installed, crank main bearing clearances checked again...all identical and spot on. Crank installed and final main stud torque completed. Starting to file back ring end gaps to required specs.

Tomei valve springs and new stem seals installed, valves seats redone and valve heights checked.

Looks absolutely awesome Paul!

Crank sure did get some material knocked off it.

Oil return fitting looks good.A credit to the fabricator (and the fitter)

Bores look great. Nice hone job.

Lets hope those circlips are not too much of a hassal.

When balancing the crank, my machine shop drilled holes in the the counter weight rather than grinding off material as Twoogle has done. Is one way better than the other?
