I am having a particullary odd dilemma. For one i have a R33 Series 2 RB25DET, that when i blew 3 ringlands i decided to build it up. It currently has a RB26 crank, with Forged pistons and rods. It also has the RB26 twin turbo setup installed. For engine management i was going to run the Haltech e6k but opted to run the POWER FC. Its from a RB26 though, and since i have 740cc RB25 inj i need to remove the resistor box, i was told by some people to just remove it all togeather, and some said to just terminate all the ends on the harness from the resistor box. I am completely unsure about what i need to do heh. Any suggestions ? Also since i am using the RB26 power fc, i am not sure if all my sensors are the same as the rb25 namely the Oil pressure sensor, the two coolant temp sensors, i know the IAC is diff bewteen the 25 and 26 but do they use same plugs ? also i need a AIT sensor (air intake temp) does this part exist on another car i could source or can i get away with out running it at all. With those sensors are they the same on the SR or the KA or VG or does anyone have a part number for any of those as in the nissan part i appreciate any help !! here is my project linked from another forum i visit if anyone is interested

please any help even if your sellign those parts let me kno !!!

Well RB25 is high impedance and RB26 is low so youll need to install a resistor box to run the RB25 injectors with the RB26 ECU (I chose to just get 750cc low imp top feeds for my RB25 with 26pfc)

Oil presure and all that is on the lower harness, I wouldnt worry about that, ure putting it into a 240sx by the look of it so all you use it one wire to activate the light in your dash, super simple,

Air temp I used the sensor that PFC D-jetro asks for usage in the SR20 kits, turns out to be a mazda sensor, part number N3A1-18-845, I also ordered the SR20's temp sensor harness so I have the proper plug and all that.

Coolant temp, near all nissan use the same ecu coolant temp sensor, you can keep the one that came on your RB25, but (if you are converting from KA) you can use the KA gauge sensor (the single wire one) for your dash read out so your dash gauge is accurate, well how ever accurate that can be :P

as far as the IAC, thats a tricky one, thats where im at right now, in all honesty it should work plug and play, the actual mechanism is very similar between GTR and GTS-T but I would use a tone tester to verify the pin outs,

R33Paul started on doing a conversion and Mafia finnished it, Unfortunatly Mafia is a pretty busy guy, but if I work it out before he gets a chance to let me know how he worked his IAC I will let you know.

I presume your got a R32/3 GTR pfc? also did you get a D-jetro or the regular one?

its a l jetro that still uses MAFS for a r32/33 gtr, yeah my issue is that i have 740cc inj for a rb25 and i dont wanna have to buy new inj so i was told if i dont use resistor box i would be ok ( i was told the 26 uses low imp and the resistor box makes them low imp, so if i dont run the box i will be high imp) , i am gunna look into that air temp sensor now, so basically, the water temp sensors, oil switch, are from KA, the air temp is mazda, and as far as IAC goes, i know the gtr uses a 4 bolt on compared to the 3 bolt on the rb25, but the rb25 has 2 plugs , how many does the rb26 have ?

What upper harness are you running?

r33 GTR, it sucks cause i dont know where half of the plugs even go so i need to break out toner and mark what each plug is for

When I built my 30 I discovered that the 25 head came with a different coolant temp sensor than the 20/26 (my 20 one was yellow, broke it, put the brown one in from the 25, ran in cold start all the time so nabbed a yellow sensor off a 26 and worked fine), now I don't know if this is a 20/26 & 25 thing, or an R32/R33 thing..

Welcome to my world, as far as I know I was the first person to do a euro RHD S14 to RB25 conversion, took me quite some time with the help of many people to work out all the wiring to work like it would from the factory.

First thing, have you got the M63/F4 plug all sorted out and the lower harness prepped?

Lower harness prep:

M63/F4 info should be around, ive got some RB25 -> S info here:

http://www.rezlo.com/Pages/FSM/Fsm.htm

What you can do is take a pic of your harness and email it to me, ill tell you what plug goes where as best I can, the rest you can back probe the ecu plug to work out where that wire lands up.

Cheers

ok i appreciate it, i got some linked some where hmm

not sure on SAU policy on linking on other forums but here is what i got http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/318574

TTT, anyone got part nums for those sensors , AIT, the 2 water temp ones, and oil pressure, i am going to try the mazda one but a nissan one wont hurt either !!
