Adding Hose Barb On Piping

I would like to weld a Hose barb on my intercooler piping, its for my boost solenoid. The piping is mild steel, anyone know where i can buy them from?

havent seen any places selling mild steel barbs, you might be able to braze on a std brass fitting.

TIP - stainless can be welded to mild steel incase you can find some SS barbs

what about female screw in thing? i think there called bushes?

yeah you could weld on a female adapter to screw a brass fitting into

something like this - im sure that an earls/speedflow distributer should have these type things in melbourne - or try pirtek etc to see if they have it- then just mig it on.

Or just weld on an M10 x 1.0 nut, than screw in a 1/8 bsp fitting, the threads are soo close it wont cause any dramas
