Ah okay, did you park in the row of cars in the middle of the street as well?

yep sure did. I showed up and was like WFT where do I park and then just put it next to some cars in the middle of the street. :P

actualy i think I saw you as were trying to turn onto the princes hwy as well

how many of u live in n around airport west/gladstone park area? coz theres a shit laod of skylines in the area.

I work in airport west and ive seen a few around - most of the skylines i spot dont have SAU stickers and when i wave or give a toot they dont seem to respond lol

I'm there, have a gunmetal 33 gts-t with plates LA3AR , i think it was you I saw in the carpark earlier this week driving, paid attention because yours is the only one ive seen there with sau stickers. Black series 2 33 with nice rims ? Think you had a chick in the passenger seat as well.

yeahh woulda been me wid my gf...quite a few 33's in that carpark

Friday 13th.

Black R33 GTS/T with rims and a zorst as the most obvious mods, had a SAU sticker on it. It was heading down boundary road (dingley area past the moorabbin golf course) around 3:15pm

Went past in a shiney red Z series Monaro with ACDC cranking...

my boss lost his licence for a month so im using his car to keep the milage up (work car) and drive him to and from work :D i dont mind, sure beats driving the shitty old VL into work everyday. Shame it wasnt the big boss, his work car is much nicer (Porsche Carrera 4/Cayenenenene/Boxter S depending on what day it is)

just saw a beautiful millenium jade r34 gtr vspec II Nur, driving along the esplenade in Mount Martha (just round the corner from my place...). not sure if he was a club member or not. the driver was nice enough to give me a thumbs up (i was in my "R"), so i returned the favour. :(

MAN IT WAS NIIIIICE!!!!!! :D

yeah i seen that one too, i got photo's of it too, parked my stagea next to it :) saw it in a car park down on beach road, did the U-turn just to check it out

saw a dark grey r33 on the westgate going towards the city yesterday (saturday) flying past me and a white gtr.. offcourse i had to catch up and say hi and give them the thumbs up.

Today going home from work, there was a white R34 with red brides and black nismo rims, with slotted and drilled rotors possibly DBA4000's? not sure if the above mentioned cars are SAU members.

    • The oil pressure sensor for logging, does it happen to be the one that was slowly breaking out of the oil block? If it is,I would be ignoring your logs. You had a leak at the sensor which would mean it can't read accurately. It's a small hole at the sensor, and you had a small hole just before it, meaning you could have lost significant pressure reading.   As for brakes, if it's just fluid getting old, you won't necessarily end up with air sitting in the line. Bleed a shit tonne of fluid through so you effectively replace it and go again. Oh and, pay close attention to the pressure gauge while on track!
    • I don't know it is due to that. It could just be due to load on track being more than a dyno. But it would be nice to rule it out. We're talking a fraction of a second of pulling ~1 degree of timing. So it's not a lot, but I'd rather it be 0... Thicker oil isn't really a "bandaid" if it's oil that is going to run at 125C, is it? It will be thicker at 100 and thus at 125, where the 40 weight may not be as thick as one may like for that use. I already have a big pump that has been ported. They (They in this instance being the guy that built my heads) port them so they flow more at lower RPM but have a bypass spring that I believe is ~70psi. I have seen 70psi of oil pressure up top in the past, before I knew I had this leak. I have a 25 row oil cooler that takes up all the space in the driver side guard. It is interesting that GM themselves recommend 0-30 oil for their Vette applications. Unless you take it to the track where the official word is to put 20-50w oil in there, then take that back out after your track day is done and return to 0-30.
    • Nice, looks great. Nice work getting the factory parts also. Never know when you'll need them.
    • Thanks @jtha7 I will have a look around tomorrow but it is a prick of a spot. These are some photos i tried taking
    • I take it that the knock retard is from bearings tapping a little tune? Thicker oil is a fragile bandaid. You need a much bigger oil cooler and probably the bigger pump being discussed.
