Just gave a call to RE they quoted me about $350, i might ring around but try to get RE to drop it to $300 for the 1 day job we'll see how it goes since springvale is closer to me

Farkk man i was told mechanics are negotiable, i didnt know how much it cost for a turbo swap so seriously how was i supposed to know that was a good price? HIS Hose can do the fittings for you.

If you look through the forums (probably the general mechanical section or whatever it is), you'll find heaps of info on doing it yourself, but if you have no idea what you're doing, then probably just easier to get Ray at RE to do it for you

Ahhh yeah that would be it.. Yeah really i'd do it myself even if it took 2 days but thats if i knew how to do it... I only got my skyline about 4 months ago and havent done much when it comes to mechanical work so im still learning everything as i go.. Hopefully in the future ill be more confident and know what things are and do it myself =] but until then i'll be going to RE lol

Yeah I don't personally think a turbo is something you want to attempt with little experience, before I had my Skylines I was kinda the same and I did things like oil coolers and intercoolers but a turbo is pretty serious stuff, don't want it going bang and it's a bit of a bitch of a job for a n00b

Have you done the basics, before turbo?

- ecu

- fmic

- fuel pump

- etc

If not scrap the turbo idea and do the above first, these will unleash the full potential of your current setup and for the turbo upgrade later. Without doing the above, you'll be VERY limited in the power increase.

PS: Hope you're not buying some cheap shit China turbo or a truck turbo

^^ i may not know alot car's but im not an idiot lol im not gonna buy like a turbo off eBay.. heres the shopping list so far im trying to keep it at 5K for new upgrades so im thinking just add the AVCR (takes me to 4.15K) and keep the rest for the re-map/dyno time.
