Anyone used flexible duct for turbo to afm pipe?

Just wondering if anyone has used some flexible hose duct for turbo to afm as in this pic:

Where do you get this stuff from, and can it withstand the temps needed? Pros/cons? Any advice appreciated

That looks to be made of the same stuff that the original plastic hose is made from. I would say most performance shops that sell turbos would have it. The intake side does not usually get very hot so it should be fine with the temperatures.

surely you'd be better off getting 2 rubber joins, 4 clamps and stainless steel pipe instead of that crap.

wouldn't a rubber intake pipe close up with the lower pressure?

it will probably just collapse when on boost and this is obviously really bad. so i wouldnt use it at all.

also, i recently did some intake temp tests and the afm reached 45deg. and the engine bay 55deg. on idle after just 2mins. so heat soak would obviously soften it and emit fumes into your engine.

Without measuring the diamater of the pipe, has anyone ever tried a larger rubber pipe than standard?

that pipe can withstand temps up to 150'C. it also can do lots of other shit, just cant remember. Dont worry about it though, ive already made my pipe up
