If I am bothered to, Ill fit mine back into my GTST and take pics. Its pretty straight forward. Pulling it out, its like a puzzle, it only comes out one way and you will figure it out. Installing it is the same, only really fits properly one way.

where can you get a shortshifter for an r33 these days, from what i saw on nengun , the c's shifter has discontinued, which leaves nismo which is bloody expensive

You want mine? $60 to your door. I took it out because its a noisy piece of shit. Yes I said it, short shifters are noisy pieces of shit. If you can't hear it you're deaf. Its a solid piece of metal and it can and will bring up all sorts of gearbox noise and vibrations. Done it on both of my cars. The throw is f**king awesome but I couldn't stand the noise... Oh and the excess wear it puts on your syncros. I think I could go from first to second gear faster than automatic.

BUMP.... Cant find anything useful on here or the interwebs... Someone?

i had to get longer bolts and when i did it installed fine.. its shorter and smoother than the original, im just have a slight trouble with the lever being a bit loose when its in gear it moves around a bit to much.

im gonna take it back out again when i have some time and see what could be the cause.

what brand do you have, cause my bro has one in his and its very sweet and quiet, most likely put in when in japan as the whole car seems to be quite special with alot of quality improvements,

I got mine off ebay. It may be not the best... but it was not loud when i tested it...

The longer bolts seem it may be what i need, but i thing it extension cylinder needs to be shorter.

SargeRX8 would be awesome if you could do some pix, and if could measure the height of the extension cylinder for me that would be sick too.

there should be two banana looking flat bits of metal with threaded holes that came with the short shifter kit. you need to put them in a groove on the actual gearbox and use the bolts to secure the shifter with square metal piece with 4 holes... not very technical i know, but unless u are missing some parts you should be able to fit it no problem. i did it on my r33 s2 gtst.

Hey man, new to this site but quick question, my short shift kit screws apart to put a new white gasket, I took the end cap off the stock one with a heat gun, then installed it on the new one, fits in nice c clip is in but my banana clips sit 3/4" below the big hole, the square piece doesnt sit exactly right on the hole so I looked and it also came with a metal riser but it def wont reach the banana clips, I dont think the square peice really holds anything. Can you please help!!!

Thanks

Used this write-up to fit my Nismo shifter to my rb25 tranny, took about 20 minutes with a pair of snap ring pliers for installing/removing the first ring and a pair of needle nose pliers for removing and a pair of adjustable pliers for installing the second snap ring..

Thanks for the great how-to!
